Restricted Recall Link: http://xmashed.com/restricted-recall/ (http://xmashed.com/restricted-recall/) Game Description: Restricted Recall is a puzzle platformer made for Experimental Gameplay Project’s theme for April – Repeat. The game centers around the concept of repeating a set of three given commands in a loop to solve puzzles and get to the exit in each level. Only the spacebar is required for play. Just looking for some feedback:
Thanks in advance!! Also, I suppose that the levels aren't incredibly clear in what you have to do, since you only have 3 actions and cannot choose which ones to use. I suppose its more of an exercise in planning before playing, which I don't think I bothered to try.
Title: Re: Restricted Recall - Not sure about next step Post by: Barefists on May 05, 2010, 06:08:32 PM Hey Falmil,
Thanks for the feedback! I added a few more levels in between to ease the difficulty curve, dunno whether that helps. It is, however, a puzzle game, so the planning and deciphering portion is inevitable - at least to my understanding. Title: Re: Restricted Recall Post by: Barefists on May 06, 2010, 07:20:53 PM I played Restricted Recall and it is fun. Did you finish the game? How long did you take? Or did you give up halfway, and at which level? Regards, XM Title: Re: Restricted Recall Post by: BinaryMind on May 08, 2010, 10:22:04 PM I made it to level 9. It wasn't too hard, if I put more time into it I could have done it. The controls took a bit to get used to, but that was concept of the game and once you get the hang of it it's fine.
The only thing that I would think involves a little too much planning are the spikes that go up and down which make it kind of guesswork to know when they actually come up. Cool game. |
