STORY
Mary Shelley wrote of a monster, she wants to create that monster, but better.

GAMEPLAY

A platformer with shooting, bosses, and stuff. All eight levels are going to be open right away but as the game progresses, they get harder, and you unlock weapons and parts for your monster as you beat the levels. If the maze gets too hard, you will be able to return parts of your monster, unbeat it's level, and lose anything gained from it, to decrease the difficulty of the levels.

LEVELS
Each level will be inspired by a horror movie monster, or modern take on them (hint) and feature their own gimmicks.
At the end of a level, you fight the monster, and get the part of your monster they are guarding. Look forward to quite a few references.

-I am currently working on a short game to practice water platforming, because one of the levels takes place in the black lagoon.
-I am also working on a 3 level demo that works just like the full game (part collecting, bosses, everything). So keep checking.

The design and art seemed cool...until I read the bit about unbeating levels-now I am sold.  I can't wait to play demo to see how that mechanic works; I'm sure it is going to be awesome. Go, go, go!

This really sounds brilliant. The idea/art/story/everything.

Looking forward to the above mentioned demo, I picture this either being all fucked up and glitch-core due to the art style, which I would love, but I trust if you're not doing it like that it'll be awesome anyways so... good luck.

just a show of the graphics in the factory level, it'll look better in action.
i features tons of slime, and will be divided in to four mini levels.

Sounds interesting conceptually, keep us posted.   I like the visuals but what are those angled pieces?

if on the first post, they're chains, on the recent one, it's spinning blades.

they're teleporters, i was trying to make something where the closer you are to them, the bigger they get. i was, kinda right.

what the blob level hub likes like without it.

not every level will be like this, i plan on making some regular levels, along with levels that are nods to some of my favorite games. such as a level with a mechanic similar to the timer to leave a level mechanic from wario world 4.
