Title: Navdi
Post by: Droqen on September 21, 2010, 06:54:49 AM
"Ai Navdi Ortem"

ai: a person with no important title, or relation to the speaker
navdi: a hero, many heroes, the concept of 'heroic' or 'heroism'
ortem: to become through hardship / to earn (future tense)

My grandmother told me this in the old tongue, and I
didn't understand it entirely at the time. I didn't think
she ever really liked me that much, and she probably
didn't, considering the words she used.

Her use of ai was almost like she was disowning me in
her own way. navdi couldn't disappoint, but still she
wasn't prepared to tell me about my fated heroics with-
out telling me ortem: it would be a hard path, but I
would become a hero.

Rule one: If you spot something fishy, don't report it.

No because it's a game.

Art has no place in games. :(

<latest preview linky in the first post>

So I added a pokin' spear (it only shows up in the standin' and pokin' sprites) and I don't know exactly how well it works but seriously I have to go to bed. Good night, tigs.

Those animations are super smooth, but after attacking and jumping it takes very long for the game to recognize key actions again, which is a little bit annoying. The rapid pressing in a direction is a bit winter-games like, I prefer a double dash on left/right for continouus running.
