Title: Turris - an action rpg - tower defense game Post by: mecharm on May 21, 2011, 02:12:31 AM Hey gang,
With pride and fear (mostly fear) I would like to present you the first game, ever to see more than the inside of my head: Turris (http://www.mecharmia.com/) (http://www.mecharmia.com/graphics/turris_screen.png) The premise of the game is simple; you have a tower which you manually control, and use it to defend against waves of numerous enemies. What will make this simple mechanic interessting (I hope!), is that I've pimped it up a little: - Your tower will gain experience and with that levels. Every time you level up, you will be able to spend your hard-earned skill points to boost your stats. - The game will feature chapters, each with unique enemies, items and general atmosphere. - Hats! --- At the core Turris is a simple action game. You have a tower, you shoot with it. My primary aim is to make this experience as much fun as possible. The bells and whistles will always play a secondary role. I hope they are going to add a dimension to the game which will make it unique, but they are neither essential nor required to the base gameplay. Cheers, (http://www.mecharmia.com/turris_2.png) (http://www.mecharmia.com/turris_3.png) --- 2011.05.21 -- Day of the Rapture -- the prototype of the game is ready - every major feature and gampeplay mechanic is in and working. The next step is polish everything up in a way that I can start adding depth to the existing layers. 2011.10.08 -- Due to popular demand* I'm yet again working on the game. A completely working alpha is ready, and I'm about to start working on the different chapters (and everything related to that. *: actually, no one cared Title: Re: Turris - an action rpg - tower defense game Post by: mecharm on October 08, 2011, 02:43:28 AM Though sad it is (bumping my own topic), I'm willing to do what it takes, so maybe some of you might have some input regarding the game... :-[
