Title: Project Stormos Post by: Shakhal on August 19, 2011, 11:43:15 PM I was browsing in IndieDB when i found something really interesting: Project Stormos.
There are some words from the creator, Rob Storm: "Project Stormos is a highspeed, hardcore action game with a unique twist. You take control of Robo, a robot from the planet of Binarios in his effort to free him and his robot and human friends from the grips of the mysterious Designers." So, like he said, is a high speed-mid air-action plataform game. And it's very amazing! Right now has started a Kickstarter funding to finish his game. This is the webpage: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/robostormo/project-stormos (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/robostormo/project-stormos). It's as though all the filler was trimmed off, so that only satisfying badass moves remain.

A fast and dynamic "platform". And i love the soundtrack. I have a question. How did you learn to play the MIDI keyboard? With practice alone or someone teach you? EDIT: Don't forget to introduce yourself right here (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=45.0). Title: Re: Project Stormos Post by: rstorm000 on August 27, 2011, 02:39:50 PM Thanks Shackhal.
Quote I have a question. How did you learn to play the MIDI keyboard? With practice alone or someone teach you? I've played classical piano for a number of years. I took lessons when I was younger, but never learned any music theory during that time. I started getting into theory and composition a lot while I was at college. Learning guitar actually helped my piano playing. Start listening to music that challenges you as often as you can. Get some classical, soundtrack, metal, hip hop/electro, or anything instrumentally based and just listen to it with your eyes closed. I would say the biggest influences for the soundtrack so far are Uematsu, Dream Theater, Chopin, Keep of Kalessin, Yoko Kanno, Kanye Gaga and electronic pop music of today, LOTS of classical. But yeah, if you want to start learning keyboard, listen to classical and watch videos of it on youtube, learn some music theory (intervals, scales, chord progressions), and just try to start playing. Always play stuff that you like how it sounds and that is just litttttle bit harder than you're currently capable of playing. I hope all that helps! :) EDIT: Oh yeah and one of the Kickstarter rewards is going to be sheet music for the soundtrack, so you can actually start learning the songs from the game too. :) |
