Title: Games I download from here won't work. Post by: Dreamerdude26 on July 02, 2008, 08:51:35 PM I've been trying to figure out what the problem could be but I'm not exactly a technical wizard so I need some help. Every time I go into just about any game downloaded from here (Phyta & Tumiki Fighters to name a few) the screen goes black like they are going to start but then I'm taken back to the desktop every time. Does anyone have any Idea what this could be?

Upgrading nvidia drivers is really easy, just go to the nvidia site and select your card, the 8500GT. http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us If you do those two things, you SHOULD be fine. Also, I noticed that you only have 1Gb of RAM. That is tiny! For web browsing it's probably fine, but you should keep in mind that most of the games here are incomplete, so they are totally unoptimized. If a game has a lot of resources, then 1Gb (minus whatever XP is using) might be cutting it close. Title: Re: Games I download from here won't work. I don't understand because I have played the games that I am trying to on another computer that is a lot worse off then this one and they worked completely fine. Maybe at one point I did something to screw it up but I just can't figure out what it could be.
