Title: Wall-E!
Post by: joshg on July 10, 2008, 09:46:26 PM
When you see this movie (and you should), stick around for the credits.  Sweet pixel art goodness awaits!

The movie is friggin' awesome, there's far more I could say about just how awesome it is.  But mostly I figured that people here would understand my happiness when the characters start zipping around in 8bit 2d style during the huge list of names. (it scares me how many people it takes to make a Pixar movie, and amazes me that they still maintain creativity somehow).

I always stick around for all of the credits in movies, and for Wall-E it was definitely worth it.  The pixel art at the end was great.  The whole movie was incredible.  Pixar never seems to fail.

I missed the pixel art :( I blame my gf who wanted to get out asap, so we could eat the popcorn we couldn't buy before. :p

Bah!  I searched for "Wall-E" and came up with next to nothing.  So ... um, not my fault?

Damn my parents. Damn them to hell.
They wanted out of the theater because they thought the credits were boring.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Yes! I saw the credits ^_^. The cave art was neat as well. Such a cute and lovable yet slightly serious movie!

Probably my favorite Pixar movie.

I thought it was pretty good.

The "robot parts" - that is, the segments without dialogue - were brilliant. The "human parts", however, were just average. It could have been such an excellent movie if Pixar'd sticked up to the concept and feel of the movie's first half or so. After that it became Just Another Disney Movie.

Edit: By "human parts" I mean the parts where there are speaking human characters, not just live actors.

I definitely could have gone without the real human actors.

M-O was the highlight of the second part.

Just saw it.  Loved it. :-*

I'm so glad they didn't give the robots human voices.  Robots.  *shivers*

Was totally awesome. Very fresh! Best Pixar movie IMHO.

I'm going to have to disagree about the human parts. I LOVED the entire movie, and I think everything was just fantastic. There was, what, one live actor... and they made a fantastic choice at that. (Fred Willard is everywhere these days)

Anyway, I think the story at the end really fleshed out what I was afraid would become a bit of a monotonous movie. Sure, I'd love to see Wall-E do the same thing all movie, but I really enjoyed where they went. There were several laugh out loud moments. I was extremely pleased!

PLUS: PETER GABRIEL!?

The best Pixar film I have ever seen since the last one, and will be the best animated movie I have ever seen until the next Pixar movie. Seriously, those guys are an inspiration to storytellers everywhere.

Between all the stingers in movies, me and my wife have pretty much dedicated ourselves to watching the credits. Plus, she wants to spawn soon, so we go through the credits looking for children's names. :)
