Which one of their tablets you'll get depends on how serious you are about it. If you just wanna have some fun you should probably get a small and cheap one. Or if you're some kind of big professional you could always spend 3 grand on a Cintiq.

Then, you can choose between the Bamboo or the Bamboo Fun. As you can see here (http://www.wacom.com/bambootablet/compare.cfm), the main difference between them is the included software, the mouse AND the sizes available: The Bamboo Fun has 2 different sizes (small and medium). I have the medium Bamboo Fun, and tried several times the small one, and I think that the medium is much better (but it's more expensive too, obviously). I've owned both the Graphire and Intuos models and recommend either one, although the difference in performance between the two wasn't massively noticeable to me. And I wouldn't buy outside of Wacom, most (all?) of them require disposable batteries for the pens. Title: Re: Recommendations for a graphics tablet? The Bamboo range DOES support pressure sensitivity (of course!). The thing that the bamboos don't have is tilt sensitivity. |
