Title: The game I'm working on in my full time job Post by: ParaboL on August 10, 2008, 04:37:48 PM Hey all,
just wanted to mention the game that I'm working on in my real life job as a Software Engineer. http://www.deadspacegame.com (http://www.deadspacegame.com) I can't wait to finally have my name in some credits :D It's out around halloween. Let me know what you think. Title: Re: The game I'm working on in my full time job Post by: Tanner on August 10, 2008, 05:15:53 PM I'd play it if I wouldn't shit my pants in fear. I don't like scary games.

Title: Re: The game I'm working on in my full time job Post by: Golds on August 11, 2008, 09:30:14 AM Checked out a trailer and it looks pretty cool. Event Horizon meets Solaris. Unreal Engine?
Title: Re: The game I'm working on in my full time job Post by: muku on August 11, 2008, 12:49:17 PM Warren Ellis! For a moment I thought you meant the other Warren Ellis (the wacked out Bad Seeds dude) and got my hopes up. Google set me straight, though. Pity, really. I think they decided against it because it would have limited them considering some stuff they wanted to do, and they made their own engine.Title: Re: The game I'm working on in my full time job Post by: Tobasco Panda on August 11, 2008, 01:23:47 PM Warren Ellis! Well geez, I certainly hope that the writer of Transmetropolitan isn't a disappointment to you. ::) That said I expect some fully-wacked-out-shit from this game! I don't know him, and I don't know this "Transmetropolitan" you speak of. I'll google it, mkay? ;) Title: Re: The game I'm working on in my full time job Post by: Lucaz on August 11, 2008, 01:59:17 PM Looks real good. And the mosnters... they look awesome.
Title: Re: The game I'm working on in my full time job Post by: Caio on August 11, 2008, 02:25:52 PM Well geez, I certainly hope that the writer of Transmetropolitan isn't a disappointment to you. ::) I don't get what's so great about Transmetropolitan. I read the first two issues or so, and it seemed very random and strange to me. :-\ Title: Re: The game I'm working on in my full time job Post by: ChevyRay on August 11, 2008, 02:26:00 PM Quote I don't know him, and I don't know this "Transmetropolitan" you speak of. I've never read Transmetropolitan but I definitely want to some day, since pretty much everything with the Vertigo stamp on it is awesome.
Title: Re: The game I'm working on in my full time job Post by: Gainsworthy on August 11, 2008, 11:19:59 PM Oh my, you're working on that? When I first saw it, I will admit to being rather... pessimistic about the whole thing, but every time I see it looks more awesome. Currently genuinely looking forward to it. Plus, there are comics and movies and stuff!
I also don't like scary games, but around 3 weeks ago I decided that my tendency to scare easily probably won't stop me from picking me up. Plus, gore much, which means scare less. Generally. :o Title: Re: The game I'm working on in my full time job Post by: ParaboL on August 14, 2008, 02:03:55 AM Yeah, I'm pretty excited about finally getting a complete game under my belt after years and years of un-finished KNP/TGF and MMF projects :) Just trying to get through the big crunch as we approach launch. Should be awsome!
Title: Re: The game I'm working on in my full time job Post by: Gainsworthy on August 14, 2008, 03:25:46 AM Haven't finished a game yet? What a debut. :) Also, must be heartening to see your team's game being so damn well supported, marketing wise. You lot get a cartoon and everything.
Title: Re: The game I'm working on in my full time job Post by: Pacian on August 14, 2008, 04:10:21 AM Saw some footage of this yesterday. Love the sound-deprived vacuum ambience when you're sans air. Veracity FTW.
