Title: Super Mario Bros Post by: phubans on April 12, 2012, 02:27:01 PM Almost everyone knows that Super Mario Bros was a platform game published on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1985. What people don't know is that this game was an allegory for the spiritual battle between the reptilian race and humans, aided by the psychotropic plants of wisdom.
First let's begin with Mario; he is your average everyman; a lower-middle class worker who isn't a super hero by any stretch, yet he is able to overcome his foes with tremendous resolve. He represents you. Next we are faced with Mario's foes; the Koopa. The Koopa are a reptilian race lead by a Draconic/Satanic master known as Bowser, the King of Koopas. This should speak for itself. Mario is not alone is his psychic battle against the Koopa, however, as an array of psychedelic tools are at his disposal. First we encounter the psilocybin mushroom, which has been documented to make those under its effects feel larger or smaller in size. In the case of Super Mario Bros, this is not only the case but also a metaphor for spiritual growth that lends strength. Next up in his arsenal is the fiery cannabis flower, which lets him speak words of fire against his foes. Lastly, the star represents LSD, which makes him totally aware of his full potential, thus rendering him invincible. Mario is collecting coins, which obviously represent money. Money is the materialized form of energy that the Koopa have imposed upon humans in their Satanic Mind Matrix. Mario grabbing the money to buy extra “lives” (read: opportunities) shows that Mario still must work within the framework of the illusory matrix. Yet Mario isn't content to merely leave the material illusion intact; as he is commonly seen literally smashing the walls of his reality apart. As Mario travels through “warp zones” representing streams of consciousness in search of his beloved Princess Toadstool, he often find himself coming to dead ends. This represents the wild goose chase that humans are put through in their lives in the Mind Matrix; you're always chasing after something that is just out of reach, much like a donkey pulling a cart because a carrot is dangling in front of his face. Eventually, Mario uses the power of the psychedelic tools at his disposal to shatter the last obstacles of the Matrix, incuding King Koopa himself. He is united with Princess Toadstool, representing the repressed feminine; the second half of God. Mario, joining with her completes God and becomes One; and the game begins anew. Title: Re: Super Mario Bros Post by: SirNiko on April 12, 2012, 02:49:12 PM I did become very worried about Mario after watching the Japanese animated Mario movie. As he travels through the mushroom kingdom, he doesn't even hesitate to pop all these things in his mouth without a second thought. A flower with a face? A flashing star? He consumes these without hesitation.
It suggests that maybe Mario has some kind of awareness of this world that extends beyond what people already know. "Words of fire"? He throws fireballs, and does not spit them. Everything else seems to be perfectly reasonable and fits together. Did anyone else's stomach turn every time you used a "Moldy Mushroom" item in Mario RPG? Title: Re: Super Mario Bros Post by: phubans on April 13, 2012, 05:39:23 PM hey is Legend of Zelda a game about drugs and the matrix too? The first two Legend of Zelda games portrayed Link as a Christian; he carried a shield with a cross and the "book of magic" was literally named "the bible" in the Japanese game: http://zelda.wikia.com/wiki/Christianity As everyone knows there was this guy (perhaps not just one) named Emmanuel/Yeshua who later became known as Jesus Christ; he was one of the first humans to realize his inner divinity and rise above the Reptilian Mind Matrix; he tried to spread this knowledge with other humans to wake them up, but was captured by the government, executed, and had his message obfuscated and changed into an dogmatic religion of idolatry. This plan worked perfectly to hide the true teachings of Yeshua and was also designed to turn people atheist so that they would never discover their own Godhood. Coincidence? Title: Re: Super Mario Bros Post by: phubans on April 13, 2012, 11:18:42 PM The penis isn't a symbol of anti-femininity, but merely its counterpart. Without the other, neither one could be complete. The penis is the phallic 1 and the vagina is the oval 0; together they form the binary of the matrix.

Title: Re: Super Mario Bros Post by: Nektonico on April 14, 2012, 12:48:25 PM Color me intrigued.
Whats your interpretation of the tanooki suit then? (http://boourns.cjb.net/pics/mariotanookisuitcartoonio6.jpg) Actually, i would very much enjoy a detailed analysis of all the powerups. (http://supermariobrothers3.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/power_ups_hall_of_fame.jpg) Quote from: Shigeru Miyamoto "What if you walk along and everything that you see is more than what you see... What if, on a crowded street, you look up and see something appear that should not, given what we know, be there. You either shake your head and dismiss it, or you accept that there is much more to the world than we think. Perhaps it really is a doorway to another place. If you choose to go inside you may find many unexpected things." I have always imagined Miyamoto exploring japanese forests, randomly eating mushrooms / stepping on them violently, eating all sorts of other crap (leaves, flowers, feathers, coins), banging his head against brick walls, killing defenseless tortoises, as well as frogs and raccoons (the freshly ripped pelts of which he would then proceed to wear believing they would grant him magical powers), in addition to no doubt attemping to explore some hidden underground kingdom that can only be reached through sewage pipes. (http://supermariobrothers3.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/power_ups_hall_of_fame.jpg) Continuing what was established here (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=10603.msg327773#msg327773), I will play: 1-up mushrooms "accelerate" tissue regeneration dramatically by actually just growing some fungal tissue on wounds, probably when the blood cells merge with it; it has sedative properties, which is why the user feels no pain. They were used by the Mushroom military as field aid supplies. The leafs actually partially reduces its overall body mass (probably by partial dehydration?), which, in addition to the Mushroom Kingdom's world reduced gravity, allows the user to cause drastically higher than usual jumps. The racoon suit was designed akin to the local tanooki fauna (natural consumers of the leaf), using its fake tail to steer in mid air. The feather isnt really a feather, only a taxonomic relative of the same plant where the leaf originates, with its leafs resembling a feather. It does provide nearly identical benefits. The cape is merely a further innovationby the kingdom, rendering the racoon suit obsolete. I will write the others later. |
