Title: BARABARIBALL Post by: moonside on May 03, 2012, 01:12:29 PM BARABARIBALL (http://strangeflavor.net/bbb/howtoplay/images/goals.gif) (http://strangeflavor.net/bbb/howtoplay/images/edgeguarding.gif) BaraBariBall is a competitive sports game for two or four players. Score by dunking the ball in the water on the opposing team’s side, lose a point for falling into the water yourself. TRAILER: http://vimeo.com/strangeflavor/barabariball WEBSITE: http://www.barabariball.com BARABARIBLOG: http://bbb.strangeflavor.net HOW TO PLAY: http://strangeflavor.net/bbb/howtoplay/ UPDATE: WE'RE KICKSTARTING THIS SUCKER: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gutefabrik/sportsfriends-featuring-johann-sebastian-joust Title: Re: BARABARIBALL Post by: harkme on May 03, 2012, 02:03:01 PM Looks pretty cool. Now that I think about it, there aren't that many indie sports titles (at least when compared to other genres). That's a shame since sports titles are perfect for gimmicks typically used in indie platformer games (reverse gravity and such). Simple to play but hard to master is a great fit.
Off the Wall is a simplistic sports game I loved playing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vc1ux2PEzro Though it's not indie per se. Title: Re: BARABARIBALL Post by: Sean Hogan (seagaia) on May 04, 2012, 05:55:28 AM This seems neat enough that I found myself reading through the pages of how to play. A sports game I would be interested in :)
Title: Re: BARABARIBALL Post by: moonside on May 10, 2012, 01:46:09 PM just a mini bump to mention that i'll be bringing the game to this event in manhattan tomorrow (friday the 11th):

Title: Re: BARABARIBALL Post by: In-Qu Games on May 10, 2012, 05:26:58 PM The way the screen shakes and the dynamic zoom/pan gives me Smash Bros vibes. Nice job.

The color scheme is so fantastic. It reminds me of my favorite Atari game when I was a little kid, SeaQuest. Best of luck with the Kickstarter. |
