Title: Resource Junkies Post by: RC on August 17, 2008, 06:32:55 PM Resource Junkies (http://www.resourcejunkies.co.cc) is the place where you can find the answers to your questions, resources and more on web development, computers and entertainment, it’s also a nice place to just hang out and shoot the breeze.
At the moment, Resource Junkies (http://www.resourcejunkies.co.cc) is only a forum, but a website will be made in due time when I see fit. Anyway, it contains a total of 18 boards and 4 categories: Category: Resource Junkies Site Boards: News and Announcements; Support and Suggestions; General Chat. Category: Web Development Boards: Novice Questions and Answers; Advanced Help; Web Resource (child: Web Hosts); My Website. Category: Computers Boards: Computer Issues; Computer Resources; Software; Programming; Gaming. Category: Entertainment Boards: The Internet; Television and Movies; Music; Arts; Books and Magazines. It's really lacking a community, and that's a typical problem for forums which were created "out of the blue" without the intent of filling a specific purpose. I'm not trying to put you down, but have you thought about the question what would motivate a user to join this site instead of any other of the certainly hundreds of sites which deal with similar topics and have already grown a community? Does the site offer anything unique to a prospective user? Again, sorry if I sound too harsh. I'm just not clear what the idea behind this site is. Title: Re: Resource Junkies Post by: RC on August 17, 2008, 07:42:54 PM I get what you mean, but I couldn't decide on just one purpose for the forum, I was going to do art (leaning towards game artwork such as sprites and graphics), but I decided to go with another thing which really didn't turn out well.
Any suggestions on a different purpose for the forum? |
