Not many people know this about my father but he's actually bilingual. Aside from English, he also can speak fluently in Adam Sandler movie quotes.

It's really quite astounding and commands a great deal of respect from his peers.

What a great idea!  We all know how well the last movie based on a boardgame went over. :-X

BUT IN A WORLD MADE OF CANDY

You know, I was going to try to write some sort of fake excerpt of overwrought emotional drama involving a kingdom made entirely of candy, but I found myself drawing a blank.  I can't even draw fake emotions out of Candyland.

Sometimes I think they just get bored and they are like "What is the worst movie idea we can come up with? Let's make that and see how much money it makes."

Truly a masterpiece for the ages to come

Worse yet, they take the franchise and make a competent, clever movie out of it but it never becomes famous on its own right because nobody can take it seriously due to the Candy Land franchise.

Nevermind that Candyland is a forgettable franchise based on artwork on a game board. They don't have a lot of room to incorporate anything beyond the characters and locations, except perhaps to make a brief reference to 'landing on purple' at the end of the movie. If the goal is merchandising, you can do that just as effectively with new characters as with the classic candyland characters.

Now, if they were going to make a movie about Snakes and Ladders, that would be another matter entirely. I would go for a horror flick about children fleeing giant serpents while climbing to the safety of the top floor of a 10 story building.

adam sandler movies are the absolute worst

But he did that one movie with shadow of the colossus in it. I thought that one was good because he did not play an asshole.

no its a movie where this guy (adam sandler) is crazy/depressed and he plays sotc to help deal with it
