Title: Kickfolio: Browser-based iOS simulator Post by: Kunal on December 07, 2012, 06:34:10 AM I happened to come across this today
http://kickfolio.com/ An in-browser iOS simulator. Might not be suitable for fast-paced games, but could be a pretty good way to quicky demo a turn based game or something like that. Title: Re: Kickfolio: Browser-based iOS simulator Post by: Superb Joe on December 09, 2012, 08:35:13 AM i have an ios simulator already, i drew a screen on a dvd case and i wear glasses of such impossible thickness that i leave grooves in the doorway when they kick me out of starbucks for creeping out the customers by whispering "phil fish" constantly

Title: Re: Kickfolio: Browser-based iOS simulator Post by: _Tommo_ on December 09, 2012, 07:51:14 PM for 50$/month/app you're much better off buying an used iPod touch if you really need to test on the cheap...
but maybe it can have an use to showcase apps online, maybe. How does this works? It looks like onlive-like streaming sorcery :epileptic: Title: Re: Kickfolio: Browser-based iOS simulator Post by: Kunal on December 16, 2012, 07:46:37 PM Yeah, I think it is mainly useful to demo an app and certainly not for testing. Instead of going to the trouble of making say a 'Lite' version of an app, you could instead direct users to this demo so they get a sense of what your game is about.
I guess it is like OnLive and they're just showing streamed video. Would explain the lag. 50$ is a bit steep though (at least for me). Wish they had a free tier Title: Re: Kickfolio: Browser-based iOS simulator Post by: diesellaws on January 29, 2013, 10:26:15 PM Hi all,

Title: Re: Kickfolio: Browser-based iOS simulator Post by: Superb Joe on January 30, 2013, 10:32:09 AM you were either named diesel laws at birth, or through the actions of yourself or others, came to be known as diesel laws, and yet it is vanishingly unlikely that you will ever strike a match on your face
Title: Re: Kickfolio: Browser-based iOS simulator Post by: PompiPompi on February 02, 2013, 01:19:47 PM I don't see the point of this.
If you intend to develop an iOS App, you are likely gonna have some machine that can run xCode. xCode got it's own simulator for iOS, so I don't see the point of this over kill onlive like browser simulator. Title: Re: Kickfolio: Browser-based iOS simulator Post by: eyeliner on February 02, 2013, 04:30:56 PM Diesel Laws is a great name for a B flick or an awesome racing game.
Title: Re: Kickfolio: Browser-based iOS simulator Post by: Kunal on February 04, 2013, 09:33:19 AM @PompiPompi I think the main purpose is to be able to demo an app (remotely) to a limited audience of testers/clients. Not for the developer's own testing.
