Title: Curiosity - offline?
Post by: Noogai03 on December 11, 2012, 12:57:24 PM
I'd been meaning to try Curiosity (can't be bothered with whole name; the Peter Molyneux + 22Cans one) for some time, so I got round to it (glad it's free, if it was paid that would be pointless). Cool I suppose, but what I don't get is how you can play it in Airplane Mode...
It's massively-multiplayer, but how does playing with no Internet fit in? Does it sync the block you chip away next time you connect?
Any knowledge?

You can't play it without an internet connection.

I haven't even played it yet, is it any fun at all?

Honestly if anyone gets disappointed with something Molyneux designed these days, they only have themselves to blame.

So I better shouldn't play it?

You can't play without a connection and the servers seem rather unstable as it is. I tried connecting a few times and it refused to allow me, so I sort of gave up on it.

Looks like people have lost faith in Molyneux, since his Godus Kickstarter is doing poorly too.

That's what I would have thought, but I CAN, somehow!  :ninja:
It connects and I can see and chip at the cube, use the store, etc. In fact, I can't use the store when I'm online because the app crashes. I have to go offline, buy something, then go back on.
