Great Mario Parody, or Greatest Mario Parody?

Good Mario Parody. Too random and irrelevant to be great.
Now, had it been an actual rom, that would've been great.

it's kind of funny. 4/10.

The engine is pretty damn smooth, but it's too slow and repetitive. Not much fun.

I enjoyed what I played. Graphically, it was pretty cool but I wouldn't say it was a masterpiece or anything.

Would've like ducking and grabbing, but other than it's okay.

It's too simplistic and reptitive to be a good game, but I definitely laughed out loud a few times. The Bridge to Nowhere is my favorite. :)

I think it's pretty boring.

I stopped playing when I didn't get the multiplier for bonking the clothes guy after jumping on two pigs in a row (I did get the multiplier for the pigs).

Still, it was hilarious when I killed one of those guys for the first time. 150K points? HAHA

Neither. It sucks. The engine has only one type of floating block, the hitable one, which they put in places that makes you can go places you can't, for instance in the water. No powerups. One hit kills. I hate ice levels, and that's all this incomplete game is. Plus I haven't ever played a game this heavily sponsored. And if you do finish the existing 3 levels and you're treated to nothing. Thanks a a lot. Oh, can I please sign up on your mailing list to be told when you make more? 'Cause I know you'd never sell my name to a mailing list company after all the money you made from those ads between every level.

It's a blatant attempt at cashing in on a popular topic. Extremely blatant. Extremely cash in.

It's just as bad as people selling front pages of newspapers with his picture on it for $10, $100, $5000. (Actually it's the fact that there's a ready market for it!)

And I only say this because they robbed me of my well-deserved multiplier! It might have gone to the NHS fund, who knows?

The acceleration for jumping and falling feel really weird and un-Mario-like.

It doesn't work for me. The loading bar loads and then nothing happens.

At one point all of the (both of the?) baddies just ran into walls and stopped moving entirely.





One of them still managed to kill me though.

I admit that I was liking the direction it took at first, but the slow, bland gameplay allowed me to only play for three minutes tops.

Really, if this is all it takes to get on the BBC (and get all the global exposure that comes with that), then I think TIGS should have a "Get onto the BBC" compo; maybe even the compo itself would get on the BBC and we could bask in our new found global street cred (Well, to be fair, we already have a lot of global street cred from our awesomely diverse forum, but you guys know what I mean).

I'm not about taking the I out of the TIGS, but I have to say that's a pretty hilarious idea for a compo.

How is trying to get coverage not indie?  Especially if it's done in a really sublime satirical sarcastic cynical way (on a different note, I really have to stop using the word "sublime," it's too pretentious I think).  And I love the I in TIGS, that's why we're all here, of course.  And anyway, I see it as a joke 2 week compo at most, something like a tame version of the "Attention Grabber" compo idea, which just seemed ultra immature (not that this idea doesn't have any immaturity to it, I'll admit).

Blatant Cash In.

This game's subject was chosen to drive traffic to the site, and while you're there you're guaranteed to make them 3 ad impressions BEFORE YOU PLAY THE GAME! If you actually play their crappy game you see another ad before you play and another ad between every stinking level. I've said it before, I've got nothing against capitalism, but jeeze try some subtlety. At least make it look like you're trying to make a decent game and not just capitalizing on sensationalism. The game, as a game, sucks. I could go on YoYo and find a dozen better games in the time it would take me to play this games 3 levels. (Have they added more? I don't know because I refuse to visit the link and make them more money for cashing in on a half arsed effort.)

This. Indie doesn't mean "cult". It's not some dark art practiced in basements. I define indie as games that you make by yourself, or in your own group, without outside funding or moderation. Heck, even with outside funding.

wow, pretty funny. Kind of short, but good to waist time at work.

I liked it for a while although it was repetitive. I suppose they rushed it so that they do it first.
