Title: Long Take (GGJ14 game) Post by: Sun Park on January 28, 2014, 03:11:55 AM Here is our team's GGJ14 game "Long Take".
It's a platformer game and it isn't platformer as well. You aren't a player in the game. You're a camera man instead. Please try and give awesome feedbacks. Thanks. http://globalgamejam.org/2014/games/long-take (http://globalgamejam.org/2014/games/long-take) http://www.kongregate.com/games/TurtleCream/long-take (http://www.kongregate.com/games/TurtleCream/long-take) (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/69696118/longtake_title.png) (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/69696118/longtake_shot.png) Title: Re: Long Take (GGJ14 game) Post by: Prads on January 28, 2014, 03:53:45 AM Great concept. It was too difficult for me though. I gave up in the level where the player had to dodge those long strip of fire moving upwards. The player could dodge the first one but the second one always killed it. I liked the idea that the missiles and other stuffs moved only when they were inside the camera but controlling them that way while maintaining the player inside the camera was difficult.

Actually the fire won't appear when the fire pipe (the gray box below the fire) is outside of the viewpoint. We're trying to make better method to describe core mechanics. Actually the game have some bug about zooming as well, so maybe you felt hard. Anyway, thanks for great feedback! :D |
