Hi Everyone! My name is Jack Marshall and two years ago I setup a Quality Assurance service for indie developers called Tofu-Testing. I worked in the games industry for almost a decade working my way from Junior QA to QA manager at a number of games studios such as EA, Rocksteady, Zoe Mode, and Disney Interactive. I left the games industry so I could moved into further areas of software testing but I wanted to still keep involved in games testing, and so Tofu-Testing was born :)

It’s been a crazy ride and I’ve been lucky enough to work on a bunch of amazing games and with some insanely talented people (especially considering I’ve never properly advertised my company!) So now I’m trying to step up my game a bit and get my brand out there a bit more, and thought where better to start than with the TIG forums.

Some feedback on my service...

• I was super-impressed by Tofu-Testing's professionalism (bug database, regression testing, repro steps, etc). I didn't really know what to expect from indie QA, but after 10+ years in AAA I was pleasantly surprised to see such a pro level of work from Tofu-Testing.

• Extremely professional, responsive, and thorough. They found many bugs we would have missed on our own, and created documents of an extremely high quality that allowed us to make Gone Home that much better. We would gladly work with Tofu-Testing again in a heartbeat.

• Tofu-Testing has been a huge help in the process of releasing the game-reliable, very quick to respond, and very detailed with bug reports. I’m really happy I was able to use their service for Pineapple Smash Crew. I can’t honestly pick any flaws out in the service, and I’d love to work with Tofu-Testing again in the future.

Through Tofu-Testing I offer two services. First my basic package which is FREE. The basic package is a playthrough of your game where I send a report with any bugs I have found once testing has been completed. Fairly straight forward and is more designed for people who want a little piece of mind before they release their game.

My dedicated package is a full on test sweep of your game that is similar to the level you would receive from a full-time QA member on your team. It is charged at a very competitive hourly rate.
