:'( Title: Re: HOLY SHIT GUYS TF2 FOR HALF PRICE Post by: mike on December 13, 2008, 04:02:39 PM Too bad it's a relatively poor game and a massive departure from the original Quake1 mod... :P

If the original Quake1 mod was the established... ah... 'dogma', then doesn't that make the rest of the world heretical? On the other hand, if the accepted belief or doctrine is now TF2... Am I heretic now?!?! :wtf: PS, I still think the original was the best TeamFort release! Title: Re: HOLY SHIT GUYS TF2 FOR HALF PRICE Post by: William Broom on December 13, 2008, 04:57:25 PM You are a heretic among heretics, then.
Title: Re: HOLY SHIT GUYS TF2 FOR HALF PRICE Post by: Radnom on December 13, 2008, 05:26:32 PM I haven't played the original, but I love Team Fortress 2. I've played it quite a lot since I got it (and a computer that can run it).

Title: Re: HOLY SHIT GUYS TF2 FOR HALF PRICE Post by: Tanner on December 13, 2008, 09:02:08 PM TOO BAD THE NEW STEAM BETA HAS AN IN-GAME WEB BROWSER.
THAT'S RIGHT, YOU FUCKERS. I'M POSTING FROM TEAM FORTRESS 2. Title: Re: HOLY SHIT GUYS TF2 FOR HALF PRICE Post by: xerus on December 13, 2008, 09:11:41 PM Too bad steam is the shit :) Title: Re: HOLY SHIT GUYS TF2 FOR HALF PRICE Post by: handCraftedRadio on December 13, 2008, 09:14:46 PM Everything but the browser runs fine for me, and you can use a regular browser to do everything for that. I kinda like the game management thing, seems to work fine and you don't have to bother manually downloading updates or keeping track of disks.
Title: Re: HOLY SHIT GUYS TF2 FOR HALF PRICE Post by: Matt Thorson on December 16, 2008, 10:48:03 AM Too bad it's a relatively poor game and a massive departure from the original Quake1 mod... :P One of these statements is true. The other is most definitely false. Oh, how I <3 TF2. BTW, new update: Engineers' teleporters and dispensers can now be upgraded (to level 3), Demoman sticky bombs can be destroyed by shooting them with hitscan weapons (anything that fires bullets, ex: shotgun, sniper rifle, pistols), Spies can refill cloak by picking up ammo boxes (god yes! Plus now backstabbing someone refills half your cloak (because you pick up the weapon they drop) and dispensers/cabinets refill it too), and they fixed the first cap of GoldRush being too easy for the Red team. Title: Re: HOLY SHIT GUYS TF2 FOR HALF PRICE Post by: Renton on December 16, 2008, 10:54:02 AM I never played TF2.
Title: Re: HOLY SHIT GUYS TF2 FOR HALF PRICE Post by: Chris Whitman on December 16, 2008, 11:11:00 AM Yeah, you know, I really quite like Steam.
I've picked up a lot of great old games re-released over Steam for very cheap, and it's all kinds of convenient. While I understand that if the servers go down some day I may lose my games, I am terrible at keeping track of small objects, and have already lost more game CDs than I can count, so if anything I've been better at retaining games through my Steam account than actual, physical copies. Ditto :gentleman: Title: Re: HOLY SHIT GUYS TF2 FOR HALF PRICE Post by: Lucaz on December 16, 2008, 11:42:08 AM I still can't register, so Steam can suck my balls..
Title: Re: HOLY SHIT GUYS TF2 FOR HALF PRICE Post by: Renton on December 16, 2008, 11:52:12 AM Are you trying to register via the client or the website?
Title: Re: HOLY SHIT GUYS TF2 FOR HALF PRICE Post by: Lucaz on December 16, 2008, 11:54:33 AM I can regiter trough the client, but not in the website, and from what I've seen, I need to enter the site for downloading or buying.
Title: Re: HOLY SHIT GUYS TF2 FOR HALF PRICE Post by: Renton on December 16, 2008, 12:02:39 PM You don't. And your registry via the client should work with the site anyways.
Title: Re: HOLY SHIT GUYS TF2 FOR HALF PRICE Post by: Alevice on December 16, 2008, 02:34:10 PM While I understand that if the servers go down some day I may lose my games You can run one of those unoffical clients that allow to play steam games without an internet connection. That's how I play HL2.
