Title: BallBashers - wrecking ball combat prototype looking for feedback Post by: Graphicalgeek on May 01, 2014, 08:25:52 PM Hey dudes,
I've been learning Unity programming, and I've created this prototype of a game mechanic that I had a while ago for practice and application of what I've been learning. I'm just wondering what people think of it, and if they think of any ideas that make it worth taking further, or if I should just leave it at the prototype stage and move onto something else? http://tinyurl.com/obmpmxq (http://tinyurl.com/obmpmxq) (http://www.explosivegames.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/BallBashers_Logo.png) Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! It was very satisfying to hit the enemies, especially with the big blood splats and sound effects. They maybe took a few too many hits to actually kill though. I found the controls a little tricky to get to grips with - Maybe the ball should launch in the direction you click? I'd love to see some destructable environments in there (Say, The pillars could crumble if hit enough times) maybe a fun way to kill enemies or opening up new spaces. I think it's a great prototype that could easily develop into something, or be worked into a different project! The pillars are destroy-able, although possibly they could stand to have less health. I've made some tweaks and uploaded a new version! :)
