I'm at school right now so I can't formulate a full response re: the past couple posts, but all I'll say is that Blonde on Blonde was my favorite Dylan album, in no small part due to my likeness to Bob on the cover -- sexy jew fro and all.

I guess that was a misphrasing on my part, I tried to make my sarcasm towards "guilty pleasures" apparent -- I should have said "what are some artists that are uncharacteristic of you liking?" I thought of it as an inverse of saibot's "Screw Can, but I love Krautrock" post.

Another amazing fact would be that I didn't know that Notch is from Sweden until I've visited his Twitter page. Why is this so amazing? Because my host Loopia is from Sweden! That's probably the only reason why the server did not crash during all that high-traffic frenzy past few days. Seriously, my site received a number of unique visits that is several thousand times larger than my whole traffic since the April! I don't believe that something as rare as this can be just a coincidence. Of all the countries, my host is located in the same country Notch is from. This is highly improbable from my point of view. me brain hurt.

CCCCCCCCAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNN
I've been listening to tons of Big Star while at the school, and at home when I'm playing emulated (S)NES games I'm listening to either Earth, Les Rallizes Denudes, or Godspeed You Black Emperor.
So... what are some of you'se guys's quote unquote 'guilty pleasures'? For me I have a sort of soft spot for certain post-grunge albums. I play the Foo Fighter's first two albums and Queens of the Stone Age's 'R' album on a semi-regular basis, but I attribute that to my love for both Nirvana and Kyuss. As commonplace as it is, I dig the Gorrilaz debut album -- and I'm not that much of a Blur fan anywho. And there's nothing wrong with Beck, but I own way too many of his albums -- including tons of his early anti-folk/chiptunes(!) stuff.

I originally was going to review this last year, but I got sidetracked with your Mario's Adventure title of yore. Now that it's in Flash I might take another stab at it.

i recommend freebasing cocaine don't tempt me -- this is totally punk rock, but some shady drug dealer said he'd pay me in cocaine if I taught him how to play guitar. Fuck coke, but I was tempted to do so just on the principle of the matter. Brother Android: Thanks for the well wishes. Don't worry, I won't die anytime soon. Time and Mr. Gimmick heal all wounds.

two years ago during my freshman year of college i heard a girl talk track with some biggie smalls song interlaced with the drums from nirvana's "scentless apprentice". that was about the high point for me.
i've been listening to a lot of crywank lately, he's a british anti-folk/punk folk lad who perfectly fits my mindset right now. it's under a creative common's license, but i'm at school right now so i'll have to provide the linkage later.

You better watch out, your little bro shares the same game-making genes you've got! It's an interesting kernel of a game -- the combination of the wall bouncing and hovering (via holding the button down) give it a decent amount of strategy. He should definitely consider a sequel.

Almost through Hell's Angels. Now I won't have anything to read after that.
Thompson is always a good time. Adam_Smasha: Concurred. I haven't read a novel of his in some time, now that I come to think of it, but I'll attribute that to devouring his stuff to get me through adolescence. I'd say I'm about due a re-read. I honestly haven't read much lately -- I've read more Tim Rogers reviews than anything else in the past two monhths.

I'm officially quitting smoking myself, a first grader I'm teaching today commented on my smoke lines. Fuck cigarettes.
Best of luck Phubans, it would be hard to quit myself due to all of my current friend's smoking habits -- thankfully (ha) I've been going through some shit lately so I'm going to hole up in my room and do some soul-searching while playing emulated NES games for the next week or so.

A big d'oh for missing Masashi Kageyama and Grant from the Banjo series.
I didn't know it till this year, but Comix Zone for Genesis has a bangin soundtrack.

Brother Android: The Final Fantasy Adventure and Final Fantasy Legends soundtracks are where it's at, in my not so humble opinion.
