Some Vonnegut quotes:

"There's only one rule that I know of, babies—God damn it, you've got to be kind."

"Many people need desperately to receive this message: 'I feel and think much as you do, care about many of the things you care about, although most people do not care about them. You are not alone.'"

"Why don't you take a flying fuck at a rolling doughnut? Why don't you take a flying fuck at the mooooooooooooon?"

What Brother Android said, what reetva said about Nobuo Uematsu, and Kenji Ito.

Huh, Marvel apparently took the game down. I'm thinking of reviewing this, but how should I get around to linking towards it?

Also, the developer made a torture game that looks interesting:

Actually, in the first Wario Land for GB there's a floating head & hand combo boss. I can't recall the actual level and I'm too lazy/buzzed to get the exact details, but I do recall that the boss also shucked boogers from his nose.

So raw.

I've been on a Wipers/Death/live Stooges binge lately.

I've listened to Thirteen hundreds of times. In addition to Mr. Android suggested, I'm in Love With a Girl and Nighttime both come to mind. Their album Radio City is my personal favorite, but all three of studio albums are solid.

Brother Android: We seriously need to make music together at some point, beautiful or otherwise.  Well, hello there! Our musical tastes intersect at the best of spots.

Sinclair: I feel like I'm too young to listen to Nick Cave, for some reason. Maybe after a couple more years under my belt I'd be able to fully appreciate the man. /shrug

Turbo Brother, re: everything you post here...  Hand Metal Right

We are Going to be Friends, by the White Stripes.

Makes me feel like I'm in kindergarten again.

If you want to feel like you're in middle school again, except that you enjoy it this time, I'd suggest some Big Star. They're an early 70's British Invasion band that are pure love. I'll link to a concert of theirs once I find the time.

I was listening to Tom Wait's Bone Machine while walking last night. Just as I walked past a funeral, the line "We're all going to be, dirt in the ground" eerily came up. "I Don't Wanna Grow Up" is my unofficial anthem.

Another Sunny Day is a knockout with the first graders I'm teaching today.

Ssh, we don't want another vegetarianism thread. I'll feel morally bad for being Inupiaq again.

Really, friends, we must muster up the courage to bring this thread back to it's proper place. I'm getting a throbbing headache from all of these phallic implications. It's time we laid this to rest. It's fun to pull a boner every now and then, but this has gotten way out of hand.
 Durr...?

I love you in a totally hetro way; Bad Moon Rising and Sister are my favorites as well. The Eternal wasn't that bad, Pavement's bassist did wonders for their lineup. I discovered SY right after I purchased my first guitar -- between them and Nick Drake I've always had an infatuation with alternate tunings.

I blame living in rural Alaska, but I've never been to an actual, factual concert before.  Cry If I was down in the States I'd be all up in that shit.

I'm listening to more Les Rallizes Denudes, which was preceded by some Explosions in the Sky.

While giving my class a test today I let them listen to Galaxie 500's Today album.

Lazywaffle: Thanks for enlightening me on Isn't Anything, it reminds me of discovering Sonic Youth back when I was 16.

Dammit, I should have kept my thoughts about Monster King to myself.

To save people the trouble of taking my post out of context: PENIS
