 I don't like it, it makes me very uncomfortable, and I find having these issues of human rights surrounding something as simple as a video game to be really unsettling.  A hobby that I go to exclusively to unwind on my off time is becoming increasingly swamped by all this weird stuff that I don't really understand and that the people who claim to do can't even begin to explain it to me.  I just don't want to have to groan every time I read a video game website is all.

this here is pretty much you admitting you want to keep videogames as something simple you can enjoy

so already there is the "afraid of growing up" because GUESS THE FUCK WHAT NERD everything in life is complicated.

imagine you said steak instead of video game!! it's so easy and delish to eat a steak. But it's way more complicated than that, the cattle might have went through all sorts of bullshit and the grain used to feed it coulda fed actual people and etc etc

even funnier is that the issue is actually that people WOULD LIKE to think like you, that video games could just be this simple escapism that they can go to, but they find that they have A LOT OF TROUBLE enjoying it because of x and y, x and y being that they find that the characters supposed to represent them often dont do it and instead represent a bunch of OTHER noobs

or in this case, they are victim of a lot of workplace discrimination for no fucking reason sorry for the tangent
