This thread has restored my faith in humanity... Or at least TIGSource. I thought you guys would defend bronies tooth and nail because I stated my disdain for them, but surprisingly, you guys seem to find it as unusual as I do! Thank you, guys, for being relate-able for once Tears of Joy

I agree Smiley

Yeah, that lasted for about 6 months. I did manage to lose weight between being vegan and walking more, but veganism is way too difficult for someone as lacking in self-discipline as I am. Besides, it's hard enough to find decent vegetarian food in my neighborhood, let alone vegan (everything is Chinese, which means dead animals in everything) or pizza (cheese in everything).

It's easy to not eat meat after a while. After a few months, you don't really miss it. Cheese, on the other hand... *lights up a cigarette made of cheese*

I've the same monitor on my desk. I got it four (?) years ago, and it's still working pretty well.  Hand Thumbs Up Right

It's okay... Kind of small (19"?) I only use it for working. Games and movies get output to my 32" TV. You can tell where my priorities are Big Laff Big Laff

Fat, greasy, unshowered, and unshaven... THIS is exactly how I want to be remembered! Big Laff

And I need a haircut.

Thanks for keeping out the messy, impoverished hovel that I call my room out of the shot, though Wink

My Little Pony: You will never find a more wretched hive of autism and virginity.

I did Troubled Teen because of AKIRA and Evangelion, Silent Badass because of Vampire Hunter D and Fist of the North Star, and Nonchalant Ninja because of various ninja anime I enjoy, including Ninja Scroll and Blood Reign: Curse of the Yoma.

I think this list is definitely not complete. There are anime like Demon City and Wicked City that feature the Cocky 90s Japanese Guy in Suit, who can be either a martial artist, gun-slinging special agent, or just a salaryman (as long as he has 'tude).

There's also the Child-like Curious Girl, which you'll see in Alice in Wonderland and Alice-themed stories like Manie Manie, the first story from the late 80s anime anthology, Neo-Tokyo.

Of course, there's even more, but those are a few I'll add.

EDIT: Also added the Androgynous Man-Boy for characters like Evangelion's Kaouru, or Escaflowne's Dilandau. Oddly, overly-effeminate/"faggy" male characters are often depicted as villains in Japanese media (Kefka, Sephiroth, etc...)

And the Rough & Tumble Ass-Kicker is for characters like Gatsu (Berserk) and possibly some from Dragon Ball Z (I haven't watched enough of that show to know, but yeah, I'm sure there's more characters out there who don't mind losing a few limbs just to kick someone's ass while doing it with a maniacal grin Evil)

What's wrong with dudes who love dudes who love giant robots?

Nothing, I just don't understand why these two things go hand in hand??  Shocked

Added two more options.

Just typo'd options as potions... Never noticed that one before!

Does this indie smash hit mean that Derek is going to leave us, now? Sad

On the topic of anime, what type of character is your favorite? Since some individual characters can encompass a variety of these traits, you may choose up to 3 options.
376  Player / Games / Re: the sega was better than super nintendo on: July 05, 2012, 10:38:02 AM
you want to punch me in the throat already i'm pretty sure so no loss there.

No, I want to caress your throat gently.

What a fucking troll thread. If I ever met anyone IRL who said the Genesis was better than the SNES I'd punch them in the throat.

That's Majuu Ou, an extremely obscure Japanese game that wasn't even released in the US... I hardly think that counts as a good example of the NES' capabilities. Haven't you played Chrono Trigger or any other beautiful NES game?

Even though Majuu Ou isn't the best example for SNES games, I actually liked it because it's weird and different Smiley

Yes, and I guess I can tone down my hatred of kawaii since there are others now who like the more serious old-school animus :3

I- it's not like I LIKE John Sandoval and his Kawaii Animus or anything! >X(

But seriously... Look at this:

Definitely one of my favorites. It's very trippy, ambient, and strangely paced, but I love it. You can watch the whole thing on YouTube. (Hint: Do it Wink)

Aren't they unhealthy enough without doing that?  Undecided

Here's what I made earlier tonight. I thought the color was pretty, so I took a picture:

It's purple cabbage sauteed with onions and garlic. I had it with instant couscous and two eggs over easy... Except I called them eggs over rough because I can't seem to ever make EOE without breaking the damn yolks and having everything stick to the pan.

After I made that, my GF stopped by and we went to Indian buffet where I gorged myself on a second dinner. This is why I'm fat Sad
