BOOM is looking cooler and cooler. Love that you got it readable at the tiny Game Boy resolution.

Well, not quite today, but I did make Puppy War 3000 for the Glorious Trainwrecks Klik of The Month Klub.
It was a lot of fun!

When I get down to it, I am a fairly quick developer. All this Poppenkast training has benefited me immensely.

I personally really liked Whiskey Sardonic. I imagine a game with him should feature two buttons dedicated solely to drinking and one-liners. One could even use procedural generation to make said one-liners! Timing your one-liner perfectly after a swig is the key to getting the best score!

For level info, how about a button you press to listen to a small hand held radio, or something? It would play a report about how far the player's gone, how many people he's killed, etc., without breaking the immersion with a big clunky HUD.
And, yeah, some ways to cause more damage to the terrain would be cool. Bomb powerups?

Liked it quite a bit.
My main complaint is with the minigun, actually. Why is it that a single bullet from a tiny pistol can do more than a hail of bullets from that huge gun. It feels like you're trying to use a nerf minigun to kill people.
And, yes, as was said before, a bit more agility on the player and some more active enemies would be very cool.
It's fun, though. Keep it up!

I also had this. Figured it was just my computer being crap. Seems like that may not be the case.

Looking at the game's back story, is the disease seriously called the taint? Other than that, I absolutely loved this game. Love the sense of scale, the feel that you are no better than any of your compatriots, or your foes, when it comes to fire power. Love the sexy low-res pixel art combined with the lowpoly 3D. Also, any game with a chainsaw automatically gets a little bonus in my eyes. Seriously great game. EDIT: Although, on occasion, parts of the terrain seem to float a bit in the air. I'm on Vista, not sure if that has an impact on it.

I love this. I'm vaguely reminded of Super Mario Galaxy, with you following the contours of odd shapes. I've gotten every teddy except for the last level's, which I haven't beaten at all.
Really cool game, really good execution. Love it.

I sort of missed out on this when you first released the demo 'cuz my computer was utter shit, and ran it ridiculously slow, so I never got a chance to get into it. Now that I've played it, I'd say this was incredibly fun, but it was sort of made a lot less enjoyable for me 'cuz it seemed to be riddled with bugs. Movement is really nice and fluid, and the combat is great once you start understanding it. Still have no idea what I should do to beat the boss, but I'll get it eventually. I really love the presentation as well. Music was really cool, and I love the chubby little ninjas. My problems are with the bugs. Sometimes when transitioning between rooms I suddenly find myself stuck in a wall somewhere far off. I can't hold the up key in between rooms, which makes climbing those tall shafts way more annoying than it should be, and when fighting the boss for the first time the level music never cut out and the boss music just played over it. When I died, the music still went on, even as the game went back to the title screen. Now, the music doesn't start at all, and every time I die I get an error: ___________________________________________ ERROR in action number 1 of Step Event for object stopmusic:
Error in code at line 1: if vol>1000 then vol-=100
at position 8: Cannot compare arguments. Anyways, I was still able to overlook the bugs and enjoy the game immensely. You've got something really amazing here. As for the XBLA question, yes, of course I would buy it. Whatever price you put up, really.

I've been messing with watercolours recently. Last one is 'cuz my wisdom teeth got pulled out a few days ago. I also forgot to use proper paper for the last one.

That's awesome - I would totally look into that if I could play guitar. I suppose such a Theremin effects controller would work for a keyboard, but then I wouldn't have any hands to use the Theremin.
Feet? And yes, that combo is really cool.

-Get better at art. -I have a small list of instruments I'd like to learn to play: piano, accordion, bagpipes, trumpet (should be easy, since I already play trombone), guitar (went to a little class in school, but don't actually own one) -On that line, learn to compose. I don't have enough indie cred or balls to ask people to make music for my games, so I need to learn to do it myself. -Silliest one is that I recently drew some character, and liked the design. Unfortunately, it seems to have been some sort of miracle as I am now unable to successfully draw him again. I'd like to be able to do that. Maybe I should try some time in the middle of the night, I seem to do better then.
