Does anyone think that all this extra power will be used to get framerates above 30 fps? Anyone?

Problem - when gamers are filmed gaming, they usually display a flat affect, or at most, concentration. Nobody wants to smile at their TV to pretend their character is congenial.
It's not like there's going to be any smiling here anyway judging by the current mood.

The Hydra must be a son of a bitch to defragment if it keeps on creating new partitions every time you interact with it. Maybe use blunt weapons instead of bladed... I don't know, I think I'll have to throw technical support an email for help.

Here's hoping for a new X-Wing game as a first person-shooter with all the space combat parts presented as either cutscenes or rail shooter sections. That'd be totally sweet.

The only solution is for people to join the clan and tell me to replace all of that shit with the more useful stuff. And to stop me sounding like a broken record.

Since the last time I posted our KOL clan (TIGSource of Loathing to give it it's full name) now has access to clan dungeons mostly thanks to Hideous who I split the cost with so now is as good a time as any to join up, speed level using the stuff in our rumpus room and then assault the Hobopolis en mass because we'd really like some friends. New and old, I haven't kicked out any of the people who were around the last time there was a thread about KOL so if you want to get back into it you won't have to re-apply and can get on with the important stuff like being a bro.

We're all bros here and a bro always has your back, like joining your clan when you need some help *hint, hint*.

There exists a TIGSource clan in KOL and it's a very lonely place so people should totally join it even though we have jack shit in the way of interesting stuff like clan dungeons.

It's also an RPG, adventure game, fighting game and a shmup, since you're playing the role of someone on an adventure, fighting people by shooting them up!

Let's argue game genres, I'll fight you to the death
Well, first person shooter isn't really a genre it's a summary of the POV that the action takes place from prefixed to the actual genre.

And yeah, light gun is an entirely different genre.
You are shooting at things from a first person perspective. Therefore they are first person shooters.

Show me a Japanese developed FPS worth anyone's time though.
Virtua Cop 2.

Reflexes aren't really necessary in SS outside of deathmatch and shooting a few homing balls of fire out of the air but you can just circle around and take 'em out whilst they re-correct their arc or just keep running backwards until they line up directly in front of you. You'll be spending a lot of time running backwards anyway so it's not really a problem. The game gets much easier in co-op so you can just keep piling people in until it's a total cake-walk even on the highest difficulty level.

Serious Sam has a "hippie mode" that changes all the blood into flowers. It's by far the best way to play it because, hey, context, and as a bonus you can change the colour mode to "psychedelic" and really do your eyes in.

4. Target: Take out a specific target on the map to complete your objective.
Will this include surface targets? I like the idea of sneaking behind enemy lines, surfacing, taking out a capitol ship or two then trying to escape whilst they go ape shit with the depth charges.
