Anything that has a sniff of either DooM or HeXen about it. And Outrun. And most of the stuff I do.

I'm pretty sure Gunstar Super Heroes was developed by Treasure seeing as how it says "created by Treasure" as the game is booting up.

I wasn't really that hot on it either the first time I played it. It's a very condensed experience, condensed to the point where I wouldn't agree with a few of the design choices. It ends up being more of an Alien Soldier sequel without all the inventory management. This is when I realized that it's the Gunstar HeroesxAlien Soldier game that I've secretly wanted so now I'm quite fond towards it though I can understand how others might not share the same point of view.

What's even more jarring is how the sprites clash with the backgrounds. It looks ridiculous.

Oh I'm having fun here hanging all this old shit out on the line to dry.

This is only the tip of the iceberg, I'm got a lot of cool shit I can post to make dial-up users hate me.

I don't think he's stiff but he's got great posture.

SEGA have got Sumo Digital doing Outrun 2 for the third time now so I can probably forgive them for the whole Sonic thing. Probably, I mean, it's not for PC this time or the wii which would be a logical choice seeing as Outrun is the most casual of their arcade ips but it is Outrun, if they did nothing but that, Virtua Fighter and Daytona I would find it incredibly hard to hate them for anything.

SEGA should just bring back Alex Kidd because they haven't worked hard enough to ruin him yet.

As a man who reads the game's title as "Noddy Noddy Boy" I half expect to see Big Ears turn up so I guess it's understandable to be disappointed that that will never happen.
1470  Player / General / Re: HOLY SHIT GUYS BRÜTAL LEGEND LIVES on: December 16, 2008, 09:22:21 PM
Part of the reason that their original games aren't selling as well is because they aren't advertising them as heavily. Yeah, hardcore gamers know, and no one else.

That being said, I will be telling all of my friends about Brutal Legend. With Jack Black and Tim Schafer, they had better damn well make a good ad campaign.
My head will probably explode if they don't.
 Angry
Since Jack Black is in that alone will pretty much sell the game regardless the amount of advertising.

Is this supposed to be grouphug.us or laughat.us?

EDIT: Ugh, spelling.

Nope, I really did mean Skate Or Die because I can easily imagine that wearing stereoscopic glasses as a fashion statement instead of as a necessary tool to view stereoscopic images closely associates itself with that game because it is so pathetically hip it's totally missed the message.

It makes me think of a post-apocalyptic Skate Or Die.

Hey it's a birthday! A few lines on the table is quite ok.

You are going to share that aren't you.

Yes! Everyone must play this now, unless you want to wait an unspecified time for the next version to come out. It's really a nice wad, very much like an old adventure game. I'm glad to see that it's getting expanded because it's become one of my favourite wads.

Another wad that I'm very fond of has a new version out too. Cold As Hell (rapedshare link) adds lots of survival horror and clean, GZDoom visuals. It gets quite difficult with the reloading weapons and having to bandage up your wounds or you'll die from the bleeding but even if you find such a deviation from the core game a heresy you should give it a go just to see how a well real-life location can be rendered with the engine.

But if you want to celebrate DooM's fifteenth you should give Wonderful DooM a whirl. It seems like the perfect way to remember DooM as it's all the fun of reminiscence with the "hey, I thought that bit went differently..."-ness attached to the failings of memory.

It totally is and it doesn't look a day over five.

EDIT:

Now with more Hissy.

The first game that I wrote was called Hell World! Simulation and I did it in Basic. I don't have it anymore, sorry TIGuys and TIGals.
