Of children's books I remember most of all

Oh my god. I had totally forgotten this!

I voted pokemon.

Because I'm a nerd.

And because I dream of playing a game where pokemon rise up against their oppressive human masters.
It's not oppressive! It's a loving relationship between equals!

Wow those mockups all look fantastic. The Carmen Sandiego one seems to have quite some potential for interesting new gameplay mechanics.

Well in my opinion high-level languages and frameworks go a long way towards merging coding and art. To me coding in Ruby or Processing is already a lot about fulfilling my vision and less thinking about the language I'm writing in.

Pokemon would make a awesome roguelike. And by that I mean proper Pokemon translated and not just the world.

Can't wait for it to come out. This seems like the perfect pick-up-and-play game.

Swarm is sooooo difficult !  Addicted
Hands down the best tower defense games for the iPhone.

Also Zen Bound and Edge are really great games. Can't wait for Power Pill and Skullpogo. I'm definitely going to buy those.

It's pretty much a cult classic today.

The elk helmet is the best video-game item ever.

That's really a great idea. Sadly I'm quite rubbish at it as with most Shmup-dodging stuff.  Grin

I hope in the future somebody uncovers this thread on a computer archive buried deep within the rubble of the old world and laugh uncontrollably when they read "what else new is there to add to consoles?"
At the same time thinking "Oh man, at least now there's nothing else to add."
573  Player / Games / Re: Tetris on: September 19, 2009, 03:09:14 PM
I already played Stacker but it's really not my type of game. I like Stalker, I like Tetris, but I never acquired a taste for Stacker.

And thanks guys for all the links! Will try them soon. I also need to get a decent Tetris for my DS.
Search for NDS TGM.

There seems to be a small time frame after you start running when you cannot jump. This drove me crazy. With fixed movement this would be very great.

Check out Texmaster and Tetroid. The latter is a somewhat special Tetris experience though.

I use a USB Saturn pad I bought when LikSang was still in business. I don't know if they're still made anymore. I checked and they're sold out everywhere, which probably means they're no longer in production.
They are still sold on eBay.

For games that need analog sticks the 360 controller, for D-Pad games a Sega Saturn pad.

On that note, has anyone tried the Street Fighter IV Fightpad? It seems like a kind of good idea if you want something with a D-pad for your PC and 360. Some guy on the internet thinks it is better than the Saturn pad.
I heard that they are better than the Saturn pads in terms of handling but are quite poorly made which ultimately makes the Saturn the better choice. Not sure though. The Saturn D-Pad is really really awesome though, you can't really go wrong on that one.

Whatever operating system the universe runs on.  It hasn't crashed so far, and it's never needed a security patch.
How do you know?! Ninja
