Hm, I guess. But I think it's a worthwhile trade-off for the beginner. The new Rage controls and menu system increases the chances that you manage to learn the game at all. Once you get a taste for it, you can try Endevour to find out how the expansion packs work.

Or just buy the game once you get addicted. I mostly bought it because I hoped my money would go towards making newer versions of the game. Which it didn't, as it turns out. But, hey, it's still an awesome game!

Yeah, totally. It's really a very peculiar experience and not everyone will like it. I had hours and hours of fun with Clonk Planet's and Clonk Endavour's trial version, but once you played that a lot and finally buy the game a whole new world opens up, with the underwater scenario for example.

Try Rage first. A huge part of Rage is free and it's more user friendly than Endeavour. I think very few things are missing from the shareware version of Rage. I think that it's mostly custom modes and developer mode that you get when you buy it.

It lacks the expansion packs which really add a great deal of fun. Especially the Western scenario.

Making the minigames 2d is a really good idea.

FROM Software is their name. The "FROM" part is included in their name. Yes, "FROM Software."

In case you don't know, they're the guys who made Armored Core, so this might actually be pretty good. They're not the best at creating original ideas but this graphics style is certainly something else.

More importantly they are the guys who made Demon's Souls!
