http://tindeck.com/listen/vvtoit's a work-in-progress and i've got some stuff i need to address but i'm still kind of figuring out. the transition to the part withe piano is incomplete and i'll probably have some other stuff there to make it a bit smoother and i'll also probably have the song go off on a different direction after that and not just introduce a loop. any c+c would be wonderful tho, i don't usually get the opportunity to get c+c on any of my stuff

Starting this. Feel like I'm at something of an impasse as far as how to proceed or how to deal with what is already there. Any meaningful crit appreciated, be it critiquing the pixels that are there or critiquing the architectural structure. edit: i've pushed on and done a little more, but i'm not sure about the direction. still wip. the black space is going to have stuff in it, like either statues or draperies, maybe another window of some sort. exact spacing is not yet defined. above the arches is not yet shaded. i'm not sure about the validity of this architectural idea.

Which guy? Pompi, yeah. I edited the post a few minutes ago because I realized the discussion had begun to involve more people. Also elaborated a bit on what I meant, even if most of it is blatantly obvious.

I've barely even done anything in this debate and I don't know how you guys can even tolerate attempting to talk to Pompi. He consistently avoids questions, provides answers that do answer and misuses terms and ideas.

Pompi, you never answered my question. Let me answer it for you: an economy is, fundamentally, a means of redistributing wealth. It is a means to bring supplies from one person to another person, to spread wealth and a means of living among others, to where it is needed, with "capital" acting purely as a form of compensation in our modern society. The point of doing so, the point of generating wealth and being competitive, is to try and provide better services, more advanced and more efficient products, and to innovate. Now, you may ask (you probably wont), why would one do that? What does this actually accomplish?
The answer is simple.
It is to increase the general well-being of a society as a whole. To become better. Better doesn't mean anything if it only affects one person, or a small group of people. An oligarchy like we have now is nothing but an indication of a sick economy.
Removing economics from psychology, removing economics from the welfare of the people, removing economics from the general happiness or quality of life of a nature, of those subjected to a particular economy, is fundamentally missing the point, is fundamentally missing the real-world application of these ideas.

Pompi, what do you think the PURPOSE of an economy is? please define. Please define why a stable and productive economy is good or meaningful.
Because I'm going to tell you, it has quite a lot to do with points you've been conveniently ignoring.

because i am well known enough here for people to legitimately care. 10. playstation one. omg final fantasy 9 and breath of fire IV and The Fat of the Land and bikes and anime. i drew a lot and played outside a lot and had a lot of energy. not all that dissimilar from Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes. 13. in between my rpg maker 2003 and game maker stage. i started to get into mega man and started trying to make mega man fangames in game maker. scanned my final fantasy X strategy guide so that i could extract cool sprite rips from the bestiary. uh, that didn't go so well. listens to video game music only. 16. in between my mega man and castlevania phase. i played my nintendo DS a lot; that thing was basically my lifeline for this and the next two or so years. it acted as a clock, alarm and game system. i had it with me constantly. wore that hoodie constantly. poor, didn't have much clothes. finally able to grow my hair out. intellectually pretentious, all things considering. almost exclusively listens to metal. exclusive relationship. 21. out of castlevania phase. mostly draws, argues politics and philosophy, plays Dark Souls and writes about the aforementioned things. going to college for a liberal arts degree, owns a bright red scarf, wants a peacoat, listens to classical, atmospheric black metal, jazz, post-rock and progressive shit. digs plaid shirts. art. nonexclusive relationships.

Smart hurt people deal with their hurt appropriately and don't spread it around. You're conflating a lot of different things here; cognitive intelligence, emotional maturity, intent, perspective, et cetera. Whether someone is smart or not has nothing to do with whether or not they're a nice person. Besides, Sometimes its necessary to not be a sugar-plum fairy. There are times when you have to be hard-assed to get a point across - and getting a point across, especially a valid one, is definitely a more honorable pursuit than simply letting one be.
