Gameplay Clip (1:54 min MP4 / 4 MB)

a charming low res pixelated arena shooter with lots of pixel blood.
its an wip and lacks in some points but it is a promisng title nontheless.
lets see what the developer will make out of this game in the future.
wip available.

hints:
-press 0 to go back to the mission screen.
-if you play the guy with the shotgun and the grenades (green jacket) and you are surrounded by wooden walls...destroy them with your knife (middle mouse button)
the other 2 characters use their normal weapon (left mouse button)

Quote from: the read me file
wasd- movement
mouse-aim
left click-primary weapon
right click-alternate fire (more powerful but limited)
middle click/F- knife (can also destroy some walls)
Q- stay. tell survivors (blue) to stay
E- go/follow. tell survivors to follow you.

0-reset the game

TO PLAY:

click on one of the white squares to start, each row is a different character
there are still many glitches and exploits, so deal with it for now or alert me to it.
and send some suggestions if you find the time.

It could work if we have to choose at least two out of the four themes at the same time  Well, hello there!
hmmm all 4 at once ...this could produce a game like that:
jack the well dressed contract killer and the wonderbeans.

it would have the fairy tale and the shrunken theme at once (because he is in the land of the giant) + the cleaner with a proper dress code   Gentleman

recently i played the very charming and fun platformer rpg ainevoltas 2...and finished it twice. great game. it needs about an hour to complete the game.
when you have completed it twice you can play richter belmont (castlevania).
(btw to change the window size press 1-4 on the keyboard)

then i searched for a sequel...and i found out that ainevoltas 3 is in development! awesome.
found it on the the daily click site.
and i discovered some more interesting games...

a charming platformer with an interesting concept...the description text says "The Game is a retro-styled platformer where moral choices guide your progression through six lifetimes."

i played the game for about an hour (then i got stuck) and i have to say it is a really great and very promising game.
a beautiful and chilling exploration platformer experience that pays much attention to the details!
from the communication through pics, over the chilling music and the mission based gameplay and the lovely graphics.
really good stuff.

demo available

Drawn To Be Alive
ut2004 total conversion
http://www.moddb.com/mods/drawn-to-be-alive

this game is probably canceled since the last update was about 2 years ago.
but maybe the developers will continue their project or release an unfinsihed version sometime... cause the concept was pretty epic.

the trailer is awesome.

Quote
Drawn to be alive' is an adventure/stealth game where the player will have the control of a character made of paper, extracted from a picture by an incredible magic Ink. This Ink was created by a professor who sells the paper creatures at a very high price. The character was about to be destroyed when he suddenly awakes. This is where the game begins. Our little paper boy is lost into this world. His goal is to find out how he got out of his own pictural world and how to get back into it. But he's small, fragile and he doesn't know yet, very expensive. He will have to be very discrete and careful. His physical condition is an advantage for that but also and inconvenient. He's able to hide behind pices of furniture, into drawings, slip under doors but the fire, the water and the wind and even worse the human beings will be his greatest threats!

speaking of ut2004 total conversions...
here are 2 interesting mods that are already finished:
Alien Swarm (top down action) (the sequel and hl2 mod Alien Swarm:Infested is in development)
Foamzilla (3rd person destruction action...unfortunately the game didnt worked on my system but the trailer looks pretty good)

Zombpocalypse
40 MB
http://www.zombpocalypse.com/

zombpocalypse is a promising arena shooter where your aim is to...well to blast zombies away of course. with the help of the usual arsenal of weapons (machine gun, shotgun, rocket launcher...) you fight against hordes of zombies on 7 different maps.
the game got some inspiration by shaun of the dead i think Wink

the graphics are pretty good but the devlopment is on hold cause the developer got demotivated because of the lack of interest in his game.
(the reasons can be found in his blog)

the project has potential but it lacks in my opinion in the gameplay section...
because of the fact that this game is the effort of one man he could need some help in the further development.

its worth to download and check it out. and to give the developer some honest feedback and suggestions to improve the game.
(i think the movement could be improved, some crazy powerups, rage mode, maybe XP Points like in crimsonland, the splatter effects could be improved (some zombies explode when they meet a rocket and some go only down with no sign of a flesh wound and then they dissapear.)

nontheless this game has potential as already mentioned.
i recommend to watch the trailer and then to give the game a try!
