So, uh. I kinda downloaded this yesterday (before the bugfix) and it worked fine, yet the new bugfixed version doesn't (Last Chance does, however).

I can't understand when people complain that the sequel is different. This is Fallout 3, not Fallout '08 Deluxe Edition, it's a sequel not a remake. Anyway I don't really understand what it has so different from 1 and 2. I looked some trailers (most, except two of the last ones) and it doesn't seems so incredibly different to me.

I've occasional little glitches, but slow? Strange. Here, I'm getting about 1/4 the memory usage of Firefox, and it loads pages at about twice the speed :S

Ahem. I actually think Pixel art hasn't that much to do with nostalgia (although I'm sure nostalgia plays and important part for some people) but it's an artistic style. It's like wondering about why some people continue taking black and white photos.

Well, I feel partial to the NMA crowd and almost want to not like FO3. I love fallout, and this seems a LOT different, but I'm willing to accept it if it's fun.

But no one is saying it won't be fun, just that it won't be Fallout. Like Deus Ex 2: It's not bad, but it's not Deus Ex either.

I liked the reinterpretation of the sheer horror of a giant ball rolling everything up, but by the levels around the ocean/earth's surface stage, the Lovecraftian flavor text shows up far too frequently, breaking my stride.
