I strongly dislike when programs have their own look and feel. I want all programs to look, feel, behave the same way.
You're right. Every programs' GUI should be made Chrome-style from here on. Firefox already got the memo.

Wow, that's just retarded
Quite so. Yet another case of customers being treated like criminals in the name of anti-piracy, despite the fact that it never works.

From a dev point of view I'm really impressed with the online aspects of Osu! and the way it links into the website.
Really? From a dev point of view I'm really disappointed that it has bothered to integrate it so much with the cloud yet not make the actual game client web-based, especially since it'd work perfectly in fullscreen with Flash because it only uses the mouse to control. On top of that, it relies on .NET so you can't even Wine/CrossOver it on Linux/OS X.

B-b-but I was promised that I'd never have to pay for updates like 5 years ago...
After reading through the changes list, I declare this update to be a joke. "Trigger events"? Please. The only notable thing to come from this is alpha transparency, which should have been put in a long time ago. It's ludicrous that they're charging $25 for a feature which has been a staple of basic modern 2D games for a while.
Let us move on to better things; Game Maker is done.

ENTP. BUT I CLOSED THE TAB AND LOST THE STATS.
For future reference: Ctrl+Shift+T Also, I agree with the other guys; I read the other portraits and they didn't fit me as much as mine. I was skeptical about this, too.

Hey guys, sorry about that. Godwill Kunou informed me about the problem. co.cc disappointingly did not inform me that my domain has expired, and I do not see why they feel the need to expire active, free domains in the first place. I tried to renew it, but it still says that it's expired. Needless to say, I'll be staying away from them in the future. The new canon URL is http://indiebrawl.nfshost.com/, but http://indiebrawl.co.cc should also work if they get around to making it work again. Sorry again!

I downloaded this game with high hopes (M.U.L.E. rocks!), but this ended up rather disappointing. This is one of the most unpolished things I have ever run on my computer. The gray, old-school, program-like interface is in dire need of being replaced with something more aesthetic. It doesn't even render properly. To start the game in its canonical online multiplayer mode, it opens a web page in your web browser not once, but twice; once to register an account, and once again to pick a race (shouldn't this be done ingame?). The server list doesn't show which games you can join or not until you try to join one of them, which makes finding a server to play on frustrating. If you do find one that you can join, it doesn't actually join but instead it gets stuck at the "Connecting" screen indefinitely. Trying to start a game of your own presents you with nothing but an empty black screen. After this point you probably will want to try out local play instead. There is no button which allows you to go back to the menu, which means that you have to X out the window. It will ask you to confirm if you really want to close the server window (god forbid you accidentally leave it), but despite what you tell it to do, it does not close, meaning that you have to manually kill the process. You start it up again and choose the local play option. After clicking through a warning that this mode is essentially worse than the online mode, you're taken to a server screen very similar to the online play mode server screen, except without all of the servers. You start a game with a couple bots, and then you can finally play! The game is exactly the same as its 30-year-old predecessor, aside from an art style change (and no sound, despite the mute button). This may be a good or bad thing depending on what you're looking for. In my opinion, ignoring the merits of 30 years of technological and game design advancements is definitely a bad thing. For starters, the thing does not need to be so grid-based, and there is a lot of room for improvement on the approachability front.
