I got a PSP 1000 last year and I was pretty excited with the homebrew scene myself, everyone told me it was the easiest one to jailbreak so I did. And it's magnificent, they have hundreds of emulators and crazy apps out there, but one thing that everyone seems to neglect and that makes the PSP virtually unplayable with these older games and emulators is the D-Pad. The D-Pad is fucking atrocious, I really can't play 2D platformers or action games and you can forget about 2D fighters, it's impossible to even try and make a simple shoryuken move. Now, I have no idea if they improved the D-Pad in later versions of the PSP, but if you're planning on buying a 1000, don't.

There aren't many commercial flash indie games, from the top of my head I can think of VVVVVV and Machinarium. You should probably try and contact them to see how/if they fixed the security issues.

I particularly like the second one where the characters are death-gazing upon each other. You should probably keep the Devil guy gazing at the Knight guy in the front as it is right now, because it efficiently gives the impression that the ones on the left are the bad guys and on the right are the good guys. It also informs that there is a conflict between two opposing forces, and that's a lot of information with just one look. Also, you should probably try to squeeze the convoy right in the middle, in the vanishing point I mean, it will indicate that it's the centerfold of the whole conflict. And try not to give that whole shiny treatment to the logo, it really draws way too much attention to it and distracts on what's going on in the rest of the composition.
Good luck, you seem to be going in the right direction already.

Well, what's your game about?
Your problem resides right here. We should be able to assess more or less what your game is about by the cover. Simply catching your eye doesn't take it, you have to hook the viewer and then win it over. And as it stands I have no idea what your game is about, I would probably dismiss it immediately if I passed by it. I'm not trying to be a jackass, I'm just laying it like I see it. You should try a different approach, I don't think making it more or less sepia-toned is going to make a difference. Try to work on the overall composition and hierarchy, don't get too hung up on the contrast and saturation right now, what you really need to do is to organize your image. So, what is the game about? Maybe we'll be able to help if we know.

Oh, if that's true that's right on the money. I usually indulge my afternoon snack around 6PM and go jogging at 7 ish. I'm quite probably doing everything wrong, no warm ups, no stretch exercises, mouth breathing and eating beforehand

@guillermo: I did not know about Nasal cycle, but I don't think that's my case. A doctor once told me that I have abnormally big adenoids that block the breathing canal, he recommended surgery but in the end he decided that it wasn't worth the trouble. But alas, I couldn't test your advice this morning, for 3 minutes in during the jogging I twisted my ankle, mostly because I tried running with my brother's shitty running shoes, and they tend to twist to the right. Oh well, I'll post results later this week if your advice worked. @Seth: It isn't much of a cramp nor it feels muscular, it really feels like a sharp internal pain. I looked it up and apparently it's referred as Side Stich. It seems to be benign and mostly a mysterious pain with no real concrete scientific data on what causes it, there's instead much speculation going on about it. But as guillermo pointed out, breathing exercises seems to cure it, also stretching exercises. @AuthenticKaizen: I don't feel too much exhausted, I actually feel pretty great after I run, but that pain keeps bugging me nonetheless. Also I forgot to mention that it only occurs during the first ten minutes of exercise and then it goes away, so it's almost certainly because of the lack or warm up. Also, how long are your jogging sessions? I go for like 45 minutes with walking breaks in between, but I have no idea what's the standard.

Honestly I have no idea how I breathe while I exercise, I was never conscious about it, but I probably inhale/exhale with my mouth as I can only breathe out of one nostril (it's a genetic thing, my dad has it as well and passed it along to me [thanks dad!]). Also I don't do warm-ups, I'm quite aware that I'm being quite stupid, but I have no good place to do'em; I don't want to step out of the house and start stretching in the middle of the street, I kind of get too self-conscious about it, but I'll try to make an effort to do so. I'll post results if your advice helped, thanks guillermo!
Also, my running shoes are literally falling apart. With each running session a small chunk of the sole gets left behind.

This thread has great timing, for I have some grievances that I wish to inquire.
I've started jogging twice a week in the last two months and it has been going considerably well, BUT these past two weeks I've been feeling that annoying pain inside my rib cage. I don't remember having this since I was a kid, I have no idea how to stop it from acting up, I don't even know what it's supposed to be or what causes it. It's goddamn annoying, it forces me to stop even when I'm not tired. Anyone have any experience with this? How do I stop/treat it? Am I going to die, doctor?
