Man, an automatically updating/real-time tiling feature would be really sexy.
Pro Motion does this really well. Ive watched a video off of the pixelation forums of people using this and it looked really really handy.

A 3d model I'm working on. This is just a work in progress spin around. Trying to hide seams is a pain and makes the process very unfun

This taking less time than L4D1 isn't really a worrying sign to me at all. Everyone here should know how much easier it is to build a new game from a stable base than to start from scratch, and the head start they have in terms of pre-fabs, gameplay code, and play-testing makes a huge difference.
Also, I doubt they're going to actually hit that release date :D
I only mentioned time because they could possibly make it incredible and worth 50 dollars if they would use the same amount of time in development as the previous one and put more content in. I just think its incredibly early to throw out another one. But I guess it makes sense profit wise to put out a sequel while hype is so high around the game. Like I said before I think it looks really interesting. The trailer was great, but I'm just really suspicious about it. I doubt there will be much innovation and I feel like the levels will just be the same but with a different setting and graphics. Even in l4d the levels start to feel very much the same, the same kind of scenarios happen over and over. Even though they look different the same thing generally happens in every level its just masked to seem slightly different. Hopefully the release will prove me wrong, I would love to see them put even more focus on cooperation, they already did a really good job on the first one.

oh cmon, different paths? changing weather? Its the same game being repackaged with new models and some minor changes and being sold again to make a huge profit. Left 4 dead was in production for years this thing seems to be done in a very short amount of time, i hope they don't expect us to pay the same price as we did for left4dead.

That sounds hard to do 3-20 small complete mini games. Im not sure if anybody mentioned this but I always thought it would be cool to do a movie compo. You must choose a popular or at least well known movie and then make a game out of it. Of course you could change the name slightly to avoid any annoying legal issues. I don't think there has ever been a good game made from a movie so id like to see some indies try one. Pixelation did a similar thing a while back. http://www.wayofthepixel.net/pixelation/index.php?topic=6023.0

ha, i just watched the new teaser for it and thought it looked pretty good. I kinda like the "sims" kind of clothing they have on, its very very ordinary, which in this case makes it very original I think. The original characters were good but still didnt stray much from the classic look of cool heroes. I doubt I will buy this on release day though, unless its really cheap. I loved l4d for a while but I finally just got really bored of the same 4 levels over and over and over. I hope they fix how they distribute weapons as well. I always thought it would be more interesting if you didnt get all 3 weapons at the same time but maybe you find 2 shotguns, an m16 and a rifle, so that you are forced to use what you get.

I just listened to it easyname, sounded pretty good but it needs some bass. And maybe i slight variation in the drums. I think if you added a bass line in there it would sound much more full. Has potential though !

I would say its pretty close to the insanely hard level. I don't know why nobody is commenting on this game. I'm enjoying this game although the level I'm at right now frustrated me so much i had to quit, for now. I really like the umbrella mechanic and the story line is interesting. Now on to some critique. Its way too easy to accidentally throw your umbrella and get it stuck somewhere, that is really frustrating especially when you are at the end of the level, maybe it would have been better if it eventually regenerated back in your hand. The graphics were somewhat good. I liked the characters but mixed with the photo environment textures it just didn't mix too well. I would have liked to see the backgrounds done in the same manner as the characters. The music was good, I enjoyed the soundtrack. The bomb attack feels very flaky. Your never sure where its exactly going to land and its strange how the bomb gets thrown fastest upward when you first jump it all feels very innacurate and that leads to me getting frustrated because it feels almost random. The game is fun though, im planning to play it the whole way through.

I made a shirt today. I used acrylic paint and just painted on it like it was a canvas. I don't know why I didn't think of this before. Maybe I might try selling some on Etsy.com or something. [shirts of awesome]
Sweet, man. I'm a big into shirt design, and that is a really great design. What is the permanence of acrylics on cotton (or whatever material the shirt is made of)? I'd never even considered it.... I've done stuff with fabric markers before but it can only withstand maybe 5 washes before major fading. Thanks Nava! I'm not really sure about the permanence, I have only made one other shirt like this and it had thick layers of paint that i thought for sure would come off in the wash. Ive only washed it once but it was on regular wash strength and it all stayed on with no fading. That was only after one wash though, I guess i should rewash these over and over to see what kind of effect it has on the shirt before i go trying to sell any. Id be interested to see some of your designs, do you have a link? or maybe you can post some pictures.

Something about this color scheme makes me fall in love! SO excellent Evil-Ville! The weapon reminds me of something from unreal tournament but much more interesting in my opinion! These characters and colors are incredible! Welcome to Tig! Please keep posting your work!

also if you press tab while in the menu some interesting dialog appears.... I still cant select my weapons once i get them unlocked. I tried going to a different screen but it still didn't work. I glitched it one time by slamming buttons in frustration to switch me to the scissors and the rocket launcher but the scissor didn't do anything and I still couldn't switch in the menu.

Yeah, I think the more pertinent question is " why do you draw the line?" I like pixel art but I hate pixel art nazism. I don't really think its being a nazi. Its not that pixel art is better or anything I dont think anybody thinks that, its just that this thread is specifically for pixel art. If someone started posting paintings in the photography thread and called them photographs somebody would correct them, I don't think that is nazism.
