i've personally seen at least a hundred people ask about this. and for every one that asks there are probably several more who didn't go through the trouble of joining irc just to ask.
Please share the spreadsheet where you kept all their names.

Finished the Rogues Down Idle & Walk Animations: This is some fucking sick animation dude. Good use of highlights (aka the knives) to pull the animation together.

Hipsters aren't real. I've never met someone who wears shit "ironically," and I live in Seattle of all places. Can't people celebrate kitsch? same difference. hipster irony = self aware celebration of kitsch Why is that a problem? Can't we look at stuff like Ray Sipe or Tonetta and enjoy it for being goofy and heartfelt? Hipster is just a rework of the term "poseur," really. Poseur was pretentious and high-horse, and so is hipster. Don't be hatin'. Also, to reiterate: I've quite literally never met anyone who uses "retro" as a "fashion statement," despite living and working in the second most "hipster" city (next to Portland).

As for "nerds," it's fine to like a thing. It's when it defines you that it becomes a bit awkward. I really like videogames - hell, they are basically my life, since it's both my job and my hobby - but they don't define who I am. I read, I play games, I go for walks, I watch seagulls, I try my hand at new recipes, I talk about psychology, and so on.
"Nerds" in the modern sense are more of an extension of consumer culture. They define themselves according to their favorite games, series, and consoles. They argue about inane bullshit instead of spending time doing critical analysis or producing their own works. When you are caught up in the minutiae of "someone said a bad thing about a game I like" (AKA the Dragon's Crown Polygon review hate) or whatever, you've lost track of nuance and have been sucked into the sort of corporate, consumer culture that you should be avoiding like the plague.
It's real easy to get sucked into this shit. God knows I was, and probably still am to an extent.

From the RPS article on the game, apparently one way the destructible environment will play out is you could create a hole in the ground (through a powerful spell) which leads to a procedurally generated underground cave.
Another is taking out a bridge, which drops the enemies on it into the crevice below.

Art direction is like WoW
Who cares about destruction gimmicks?
MMOs are for shitty teens
okay there are my worthless opinions
I'm glad you recognize that. A lot of the team is star wars galaxy drop off, raph koster being the main one! SWG on its end was salute as the last great sandbox MMO despite a rocky lauch and growth.
Galaxies is one of the few really interesting MMOs, so it's cool that SOE is "bringing it back" with EQN.

Having played so many MMOs, and being so jaded with this shit:
I'm cautiously optimistic. I think SOE is trying new things, and that's good. It'll be interesting to see how they balance griefing with normal play.

If anything, reminds me of T'Rain from Reamde.
That's a good thing. We need a proper, high-budge,t not-shit fantasy sandbox. EVE Online is neat and all but I wanna hack monsters with sord.

the rules say not to do general rudeness to people, is specific rudeness ok, specifically my rudeness? especially now that there is a great and unending wasteland for self promotion
you are specifically exempt because you are incredible.
