I think this looks better zoomed in, as it gives you a better look at all the detail.

Why is Farmville an enemy?

Because it's Farmville.

Tennis = Kenneth Fejer?

(Just been on his site, indeed it is!)

Sorry for a minor derail, but i've always wondered what percentage commission Valve take. Is it really 30-50%?

From looking at this. It looks like you have alot of extra code, and some of it seems to be redundant.

I'm no OpenGL expert, i've only dabbled with it a few times in the past; but have you tried placing

Code:
GL11.glClear(GL11.GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT | GL11.GL_DEPTH_BUFFER_BIT);

above

Code:
// Clear the screen and depth buffer

?

I'm pretty sure that as with other graphical applications, you need to clear the screen first at the beginning of each frame.

I notice it says on the site that Polycode can be used for networking, but there isn't a section in the tutorials that covers it. Is this something you are going to add at a later date?
328  Developer / Technical / Re: What are you programming RIGHT NOW? on: June 04, 2011, 06:15:32 PM
Finally managed to get some basic networking sorted!

The game i threw the netcode into ended up not working however, and it became more confusing the more i tried to get it working.

This calls for a rewrite!

I bet they put their games on this with no DRM other that the platform itself. That way people will choose it over Steam if they want to buy an EA game.

May i suggest grey kittys in orange suits?

Love the graphical style of this, very readable spritework.

Awesome! Is he the king of the knight who resides in the 3D thread?

I must have missed this productivity train that everybody else seems to have boarded.

Me too!

I was super dissapointed when i saw the XCOM trailer.

I know the plan for the "reboot" was nothing like the original XCOM, but at least it sounded slightly interesting. Getting into the house, taking pictures, finding research and then getting the hell out of there. Now it just looks like another manshoot.

So dissapointing.

Bah I was working on something exactly like this.

Now I debate if I should finish or get accustomed to this.

Finish it! The more the merrier!

I'm currently looking through the tutorials you have written, and the simplicity of working with 3D is fantastic. It seems really easy to load up a 3D mesh, texture it and then animate it. I'll definately be giving this a go at some point!

Edit: And it comes with inbuilt particle systems!  Coffee

Ohh those new sprites are wonderful! Hand Thumbs Up Left Will there be new sprites for the ground/walls too?

I really like the Advance Wars series, so it will be great to be able to play something similar on PC with some friends!
