Suddenly, the thread's fingers turn green. The eyes grow in size. The brain takes proportions. Slowly and painfuly, it turns into a martian. It cna feel its heart pumping fast in its martian chest. Like a jackhammer, it pounds with great power. Suddenly, it is too late The thread realize it has no lungs. Oxygen fills its mouth and start creating them to compensate. It leaves less room for the heart to beat and suddenly, it explodes. The thread falls to its knees, green blood running from its eyes and ooze foaming and dripping out of its mouth. It stops convulsing.
2 hours later, the coroner steps in. "Yup mate, that's a stone cold classic martian heart epxlosion case we got here. bring in a shovel Stan" says teh aging man while holding teh wrist of the dead thread. "Get rid of it fast Stan, the stench is going to make me puke all over it's green, bubbly, disgusting body of h... BLAAAAARGH". A young man steps in, holdng a shovel. "Hey boss, sorry I couldn't find the shov... What the hell? Oh my god this is just too... disgusti.... BLAAAAAAAAAARGH"
And so this thread was burried in a pool of puke. That is the faith of all who lives in hatred. Think about it.
And candy at the movies all the way....

-2 Are about him playing around with gay models, just HAVING FUN, when thousands of people bought for a game that he should be currently creating.
And the model loading code/shadow code he was testing is going to be used in Minecraft! Even if it wasn't related, it's practicing programming skills anyway which will still help to improve it. Oh! 3D models! Like for the game! I missinterprated that original quote from Akumagaki. Anyway, the clock is ticking, the heart is bloating quickly...

What interests me the most int his conversation is that akumagaki seems to get banned from almost all internet community he joins. On a side note, due to the nature of this topic, I hearby curse this thread with the dreadful "secret thousand death touch" move. If this thread doesn't go in a respectable direction, its heart will explode with dark energy which will spread through the entire body and turn it into a martian. Then it'll die since martians don't breath (no oxygene on mars) and here, on earth, there's oxygen. A painful yet entertaining way to die. Good day

You guys ever tried Megaman and Bass? Or Muramusa the demon blade? Or most brawlers like TMNT 4? Multiple playable chars were quite common in the arcade era. You could do the same game twice or more times just by using different characters.

Ah, yeah, I remember you Mr Akumagaki. The only two things I will say are: -You are an interesting case to follow on a social point of view. -Quiting school, no matter the country or context, is a bad idea. As the Mortal Kombat 2 arcade taught me, "There is no knowledge that is not power". Good luck!

I still wonder why people are so interested in Super Joe. I guess he left a deep mark on TIGS And Kon-tiki was a nice guy until he went nuts over the whole indie game list thing. Even today I have no idea what made him go off like this. His departure always reminds me of Bender's famous "Screw you guys! I'm gonna start my own attraction park. With black jack. And Hookers. And forget about the park and the black jack!"

Alright, time for uncle Guert to tell you kids a little story. Today, it's the story of Mister Fizzle in TIGSource.
Once upon a time, there was a young man who came to TIGS with the idea of "hiring" a new programmer. He came here around 2008, in February, seeking help for his game. Unfortunately, the boy decided he'd post right away an "ad" post to hire someone, which of course led to people accusing him of spamming. It happens all the time but usualy, the new members who don't properly introduce themselves correct the situation by doing so. Most importantly, they also demonstrte that their attitude is positive toward the community. However, with JFizzle, that wasn't the case.
JFizzle seems to be the head, or at least face, of JForce game. Their attitude oscillates between being serious game developers and being immature clueless amateurs. In one hand they seem to be getting the job done and actualy creating a game. On the other, they make tasteless jokes, boast their own inflated egos and take pictures of themselves when flexing to show their "manhood". Analyzing the case of JForce game makes you wonder if they are either serious, joking or just plain idiots. But one thing is for sure, they do have an original way to market their team and game.
So back to TIGS. Their blurry motivation in game development made the other members wonder if they were really here for the community or just to spam. We see many manbabies come and go around here, all wanting to share the extraordinary game they found, which happens to be, by pure means of luck, a game they are working on. They are also truck loads of new posters that come here with the classic "get rich quick scheme" where they ask people to join their team, without getting paid, do a lot of advanced work and then wait for the game to sell. JFizzle's first posts smelled a lot like the latter. He received criticism and responded with bad jokes. His attitude and reponses eventualy got him banned, like most trolls that poisons the mood of TIGS.
A few months passes and, during that time, members kept watching the JForce team to see what they were up to. As much as an irritation JFizzle had been, the team were creating a game and, like mentionned earlier, were getting some work done for real. His original "We need a programmer" thread had replies from members giving updates and criticisms and JFizzle decided to come back. He used his JFizzleisBack username and responded. He was doing fine and didn't cause much trouble. In fact, for a while, I thought he would actualy stick around and participate. Giving credits where credit is due, JFizzle did have an attitude but he was on the edge. JForce game has good ideas but, so far, are too self-centered to execute them properly. So JFizzle posted around and his own immaturity took over and he wrote bad jokes on touchy subjects. He started a flamewar concerning Introversion in which, in a few post, made some bad jokes about jews, nazis and a highly sexist remark. So when you are on the watch from being banned and you do that kind of thing, well, it doesn't help you get some favors from the admins.
This video was created after his second banning (obviously) and shows exactly why he was banned. He doesn't seem to understand why it happened and demonstrates his bad, egocentrical humor. The guy got what he derserved and TIGS is better without him as a community. However, it's a shame to see talent burried under such immature behavior. But hey, if he was at least aware that he acted like a fool, it would not be so bad, but that's not the case. Too bad.
So there you go. That's the tale of Mister Fizzle. Let's move on shall we?

A similar thread is in the indie game section. I'm feeling like they could be both merged together. So, before I do this, I want more details on your motivation behind those threads, LazyWaffle

First, kids, remember that whatever comes out of your body comes from what you put in. Whatever is not digested or used is eliminate through all possible ways. The body keeps what it needs then gets rid of the rest. So yeah, if someone has a diet that's high on good sugars, like with a lot of fruits, yeah, whatever you will eliminate will "taste" better. that doesn't mean that it will not feature other things in it, like salt or acids. If the body is getting rid of it, there's a reason. As for the semen, remember that this is menat to help the human body so it's just good stuff in there. Changing one's diet will change the taste. If you eat a lot of meat, it will be bitter due to the level of acid that is found in meat. If you eat more vegetables and fruits, it will tste more sugary. It's also a tip you can use to solve certain sexual problems or help your love life. A pleasing taste gives more points toward certain practices. But I won't get into that matter, too much kids running around here. Back on topic: Those navy comercials with switched voice overs were great!

So seriously, you guys don't know about the "serious" side of games? Serious games are games created with the purpose of educating or enhance the player's general condition. These games can be seen more as software than games per see. Health, education, military, advertising and other fields use these kind sof games to train their talent or reach out to the world. There's even a serious game summit at the GDC. Now, to answer your question The_Flying_Dove, I haven't worked in the serious game business but I can only assume that it's pretty much like working for a software developer. Whatever you do, it must be precise and you must be right all the time (as opposed in the entertainment where you must be fun all the time. Maybe that distinction is quite subtil but, as a game developer, to me, there's a world of difference). Bugs can affect lives and doing something wrong might even injure people. I also believe that, while some company are self-funded, a lot of them live on money from government and universities, meaning that if the funds are cut, the project is over. Kinda like research. Sure the marketing/advertising games must have a bit more money on their side. However, a advergame is very close to a "traditional" game except with a lot of product "placement" in it. Not saying that advergames are bad, just saying that in the end, the purpose of the game is to make sure you know the product exists and you want to buy it. And there is a high chance of crunching too. I wish I could give you more info but I don't know a lot about them. Although I acknowledge their existence and I'm happy they exist, they never interested me enough to be truly attracted to them. I'm much more an entertainer than an instructor or a doctor. You should run a search on the web about your local universities and government programs that support these kind of games. Maybe you can find websites like this one. Good luck with your search!
