By the same logic, wouldn't it be best to have a site that only posts a link to each game and writes nothing about it? The writing must be there for some reason.

i run a youtube channel where i post playthroughs+links (in some cases i add a sentence or two to clarify the game's goal), and seeing as i have over 100 subscribers some people find it useful

sometimes they get posted along with essays which are not as informed as playthisthing reviews, not as funny as pigscene posts and which try to explain the game to the point where reading these essays takes longer than playing the game.

i also don't like that event news, previews and teasers get posted more often than actual games.
