Thanks guys! That Deus Ex line technically isn't an epitaph, but I think I'll include it anyway. Now that you've mentioned a roguelike, I also realized there are a few in ADOM that can be used: "His steps were light, short his sight, great his pains, few his remains." "He never was a valiant man, now he fits in a tiny can." "Eternal pain be thine!" "Great treasures are buried here."

I'm making a game where the player travels through a graveyard at one point. In order to add some flavor to the area, I decided to make it possible to read the inscriptions on the graves.
This was very amusing, until I realized I don't have enough epitaphs to fill the whole graveyard. I've mixed in a number of epitaphs from famous real people, and some from video games, but I still need more. Do you guys know any good epitaphs that are encountered in video games?
Here are a few I have so far: "Here sleeps the noble Arthur, true hero to the Mimigas." "Clive, forgive me for not dying at your hands." "Great were his deeds, long was his reign, unthinkable was his death." "A hero, forever loyal to the flames of war, rests in Outer Heaven."
Some of them don't really make sense in my game (like the one from Cave Story, since there are no Mimigas in the game's world), so I might even have to skip a few of these quotes, but we'll see.

Women must always be attractive. Always. Men, on the other hand, can be grotesquely deformed monsters, talking coffins or just plain obese. This is not at all sexist or telling about the target demographic of video games.

I bought Cassiopeia just so I don't have to see her face every time I visit the store.
The only champs I don't own now are three relatively recent ones that cost 6.3k and only mildly interest me (Talon, Lee Sin, Maokai).

http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Quicksilver_SashLast time I checked, both Morde's ult and his Ignite were removed by Sash, making them nearly useless against someone who has that item. Like Swarms said, Morde's glaring weakness is that he has no crowd control whatsoever. If you are playing a ranged champ, you can just never let Morde hit you. Ashe is probably the best counter since she has awesome kiting abilities. I can't think of a single scenario where a Morde would be able to kill an Ashe with Quicksilver Sash unless said Ashe played very poorly or was very underfarmed.

I think they can't change Flash now because they've been designing the game around it for so long. If Flash was removed, pretty much every melee champion with a gap closer would become overpowered.
Also, since it's a "casual" game, I think they need a summoner spell that lets you recover from mistakes. Flash is very easy to use, and that makes it newbie-friendly.

I take Ghost and Flash on almost every champ I play. (Almost.) Mobility is really the best thing to have in my opinion. I'd rather have Ghost than Ignite because being faster usually means that I can hit with one or two more of my spells than I could without Ghost, unless I run out of mana or something, which only happens in the early game anyway.
Ignite is good to have against healers like Mundo and Swain, of course, but I rarely see those champs being played anyway. Most champs do not have a strong heal and in that case the healing reduction part of the spell is wasted.

Exactly. That's what DotA did to make Kelen's Dagger balanced, and it worked perfectly (the item is bought on some heroes who have poor range or who need to initiate, and not bought on most other heroes).

I suppose that's true, but there's a difference in that Annie does not sacrifice any damage by saving her stun for the first spell. She can still have everything ready after the stun, while Xin potentially loses 150 damage by using the knock-up first. Not a big deal late-game, but that damage can be enough to kill someone early.

a good way to secure a kill is to activate Q, hit 2 minions and then use your E to get close and proc that Q knock up. then they are slowed and knocked up and then activate W (becuase they are slowed you can get plenty of hits off) to lower the cooldown of the other skills for another Q or E to finish them off. But don't you lose a lot of damage if you use two of the Talon Strike hits on minions? I'm just looking at the numbers here but it looks like he loses a lot of burst if you do that. And what's the point of slowing and knocking-up someone at the same time? I would think that the knockup effect kind of makes the slow pointless, since you can't do a lot while you're in the air in any case... Anyway: Hell yes Nasus. I love that champ! I wouldn't call him a pure tank though. Yes, he builds only tank items, but he primarily deals physical damage. He doesn't have any big initiating spells like Amumu and Malph have, and only a slow instead of a stun. I'd say he is an off-tank at best, so you still have to pick another tank.

I think Xin is one of the least interesting champions, honestly. He's the melee equivalent of what Old Ryze was - you use all of his skills at the same time and hope that whoever it is you're attacking dies. No skillshots involved, no timing required, and no abilities that can be used outside of battle.
I'm not a big fan of melee AD champs in general, but I play Wukong sometimes because clone juking is fun. If I have to jungle, I take Rammus and tank. If he's already picked or banned, then I ask someone else to jungle.

Shredding magic resistance. You can't do that with any of the caster champs you mentioned.
After ten casts of max level Starcall, any enemy's magic resistance will be reduced by 120. Realistically though, you might get three to five casts in per battle, which means you're shredding the enemy's MR by about 36-60 points in one fight. That is still a significant amount, especially if you're with an allied champ who also benefits from the reduction.

So you say she's squishy because the armor buff can be used on other people. That would be like saying, hypothetically, that if Rammus was able to use Defensive Ball Curl on any allied target including himself, he would've been a more squishy character.
I'm not saying that the buff is as good as curl (in my opinion, Curl is one of the strongest skills in the game) or that Soraka can tank as good as Rammus (she can't), just that your logic seems flawed and that having more options should never be a bad thing.

That's why you want to give her a solo lane (or the jungle) so she gets more experience and can take advantage of her early game power.

It was a marginal change (range was increased by 30, I think), but yeah, it helps. And the spell certainly has a much better range than, say, Amumu's Despair or Garen's Judgment.
Still, since the AOE of Starcall is centered on yourself, it makes sense to stand in the middle of a fight when you use it, which is why you need to be tanky.

In my experience, Soraka ganks incredibly well. If you manage to get behind someone and just follow them around casting your low-cd spells, you can deal completely ridiculous damage to them with Starcall.
I also like how she has a counter to most types of champions. If you're facing a strong AD champion, upgrading Astral Blessing will give you a significant armor buff. If you're facing AP champs, Infuse will silence them for a very long duration (two and a half seconds at max level, I believe).
She's not without faults - Starcall has pretty short range for a damage spell, so you have to be prepared to enter a fight. Because of this, I recommend going half-tanky AP items, like Rylai's Scepter (which also will allow you to chase much better).

New Soraka is so much more fun to play than the old one, thank God. But you still get flamed if you say that you want to go mid with her.

That is true. Sapphire crystal is an option for those who don't need the AP from the ring, or to allow an upgrade into an early Catalyst.
Still, it doesn't really compare to the variety of items you can purchase in DotA. My favorite starting setup there is to go 4 branches + 2 tango + chicken, and I rarely see anyone else in my games going with those exact same starting items; most people have their own approach on how to begin the game.

Unless you know exactly how to play every champion, I don't think going random would be overpowered - you're just as likely to get the champion you're the best with as your "worst" champion. And if you're not good with your champion, a little bit of extra gold is not going to help you.
But you may be right... maybe this doesn't work as well in LoL because all the champions are relatively easy to play. Most of the DotA heroes had several tricks that you really needed to know in order to play to your full potential, like taking over centaurs and stunning with Chen or triple razing with Nevermore, and someone who randoms is unlikely to know how to do these things, considering the large number of heroes in the game.
Also, starting items in LoL are pretty rigid and defined. You buy a doran's, or boots + potions, or cloth armor + potions if you're jungling. Maybe wards if you're really serious. In DotA you can start with any combination of circlets, branches, gauntlets, chicken, bottle, boots, tangos, salves, wards, quelling blade, stout shield, magic stick, ring of basilius or even a ring of health. Those who random can get a little more of these things, but it never feels like a game-breaking advantage.
