It says it's a stand-alone expansion, so you don't need the base game to play it. Still weird though!

are you guys simply unaware that people will still want to play dark souls 1
They certainly will, but we were talking about "losing money" because of the online mode possibly being shut down. If you don't own the game yet you haven't lost any money, so that's basically irrelevant. And if you do own the game but haven't finished it you still have plenty of time to do that before it shuts down. And I don't agree with the idea that online mode is absolutely necessary to enjoy it... you can play the entire game as a hollow and have tons of fun with it, that's pretty much what I did with only a few exceptions. In fact I would argue that playing it solo enhances the lonely/desolate atmosphere of the game which is a core part of the experience.

If you can still play the offline mode then you still have a game.
I've already received 10x my money's worth and the sequel is coming out soon so it doesn't really matter to me tbh.

I'm surprised that anyone would side with the OP of that thread, haha. It's hilarious.
Note that he complains about having to play with trolls and "faggots" in low priority while defending his own right to be an asshole to whoever he feels like.

First guy to PM me gets all of my Origin keys. There's no way I'm using that shit.
Edit: And they're gone.

Yeah, nobody likes JRPGs these days. That's why this project will never hit the funding goal and you can forget about it now.
As an aside, I really don't like backer-exclusive content. Out of all the things on that page, that's what bothers me the most. They should at least make it a DLC pack so it's possible for late buyers to get the content legally.

I think an exacerbating factor of the ghost issue is that the timer isn't adjusted to the amount of content in each sector. Out of the four areas, the mines and jungle have much more stuff to do compared to the ice caves and temple, but they all have the same timer. It seems like it should start off a bit slower than it currently does and then become more strict in the later half of the game.

They lost a game in a best of 3 against DK, but they won that series. So I guess it depends on if you count the series as a single unit or not.

I understand that it's the hunger mechanic, but it's really different from other games because it is a real time limit. Even in roguelikes such as Faster Than Light that do have real-time gameplay, the hunger clock itself is not a real-time effect. Turn limits encourage strategic play, while time limits do not.

The price was 12,60€ for me, which is about 17 dollars, and also dumb (but not as bad as they have it in Australia, I guess). When the sale ends it'll be 14€.

Wish there was a bloody no ghost option...
Yup, there's a 11-page thread about this exact issue in the Steam forum and I can't say that I'm surprised. Maybe I'll grow to love the Ghost at some point... but when I played the original PC version it was just a pain in the neck because it forced me to play in a way that I don't like to play (rushing forward instead of carefully making decisions). I still enjoyed the game, though, despite its presence.
