The "event script" bug seems unavoidable, but it's rare. It mostly happens when you try the "Apple" skill in battle. Fortunately, the skill isn't all that useful and you can replace it with another one soon enough. I put a lot of save cats, so if it happens it wouldn't be a major nuisance...
Though the game is featured on the English and French RPG Maker sites as Game of the Month, I am hoping to get at least a little exposure outside of RPGM sites.

Admittedly, a lot of RPG Maker games are truly awful (these are usually done by first timers who believe their shit is THE shit and post it without any criticism or testing). And aside from projects like Alter AILA and Hero's Realm, and short gimmicky projects like Clock of Atonement, it's a lot of the same thing over and over. This is the last time I'm using this program. I want to move on to Game Maker and try to make my own graphics and stuff when I get time, but I wanted to make an RPG before I did that, so... :D
Thanks a lot for your comment, though! I'm glad you like it so far.

I really need to give Lord of the Flies another chance. I had to study it for GCSE which sucked all the fun out of it. It's a shame 'cause I think I'd have really liked it otherwise.
Ugh yeah same for me but with "The Chrysalids".

Wow, that certainly has me feeling nestalgic... If only I were into MMO's... Oh well.. It's certainly a cool idea, though. *breaks out NESticle and opens up "Legend of Zelda"*

It might be just me. But I really disliked this box art (aside from that it indicates you get a free Player's Guide!). While the Starman and the LSD-induced background do make sense once you've played the game, I don't think it was a good representation of what the game was about, at all. I would have preferred something a bit more cute (like Ness?!) or quirky on the cover... with a hint of the twisted darkness to come.

"Brief and Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao" by Junot Diaz. Terrific book. I've read it already. This is my second time. I really recommend it if you like your anime references spliced in with some Dominican Republic gangsta dialect.

Yeah, aside from multiplayer and secrets, definitely the multiple methods of playing deal, even if the player has to "impose" these methods on himself, lol. Even after all the secrets have been found, the game just has to be fun and not back-breaking enough for the player to be willing to do those "self-imposed" challenges. I remember even after beating Ocarina of Time many times, I would just try to complete the game without getting any heart pieces. Of course, this was to no avail!
Super Mario RPG is a nice example of a game that contains many, many secrets and challenges, such as Culex, the Super Jump challenge, the Grate Guy Casino, the Lazy Shell, the invisible chests, etc. I am in the process of playing Super Paper Mario for the Wii and this seems to have a lot of hidden stuff and sidequests as well!

Hi! I'm new here and I'm from the island republic of Trinidad of Tobago. I used to be generally a pretty outdoorsy girl until I discovered I could "make games on mah computer"! I've always been a huge movie and literature dork as well. I like good books, good movies, cool sea breezes, grey skies, "earthy" colours, the Mother series, Matsuo Basho haikus, Spike Milligan and Pablo Neruda poems, Caribbean cuisine and Biology (helps that I'm a high school Bio teacher!). I dislike Michael Bay, zealots and whiners! I listen to a lot of Bjork, Florence and the Machine, The Killers, Modest Mouse, Brian Eno and Leonard Cohen. My favourite book is "The Little Prince" by Antoine de-Saint Expury. And my favourite games are, of course, Earthbound, Mother 3, Twilight Princess, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI and the Paper Mario series. Such a good game! And um, I guess this is what I look like when I go out and don't feel like putting on a dress. Nice to meet you all!
