6  Community / Announcements / DuoTasking - multitasking platformer on: November 22, 2012, 07:49:47 AM

There has been a while since I last created a game. Probe L was released over two years ago. Shocked

DuoTasking is a multitasking-puzzle-platformer where you control robot and laser cannon simultaneously. When you move your robot from left to right, your laser cannon will move from top to bottom. Guide the robot across the screen to collect bonus items, and destroy enemies with the laser cannon. Pretty hard game as the game progress. Game contains 12 levels and 3 different difficulty levels.

Has anyone played 7 Wonders?

I've been playing for more than 20 times. Best with 3-4 players. Luck plays bigger role as the player number grows. Playing time about 30 mins, maybe less. I really like the Cilization theme and the card drafting mechanic. Those who seek more strategy and depth may want to check out Race for the galaxy. http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/28143/race-for-the-galaxy

Here is my top 3 board games
1. Dominion
2. Memoir'44
3. 7 Wonders

Nice picks. Especially String looks really interesting. Besides I have always liked one button games. I have to find some time to try all these games.

Great suggestions already, but I would recommend to try GeneRally and MoleZ. Both games are freeware, but MoleZ needs DOSBox to work in modern operating systems.

13  Developer / Feedback / Re: Probe - a minimalist "ambiance" platform game on: June 17, 2011, 04:00:34 AM
I had to try this just because the name sounded so familiar. Smiley

I liked Probe's minimalistic feel and the atmosphere. Sound efects were also good. I could not get very far mainly beacause probe slowed down so often.  I didn't find any checkpoints. Are there any? Nice little game.

I played the first part of the Kruunu. Nice and addictive game. I really liked the level design and the graphics are also pretty good. Hyvää työtä!! Smiley
15  Player / Games / Re: Obscure Indie PC Games on: January 08, 2011, 02:24:08 AM
I'm not sure how obsure this game is, but MoleZ is one of my favourite indie games from nineties. Game released one year before Liero. (MOleZ released 1997 and Liero 1998).

Quote from the homepage:

"MoleZ is an extremely brutal mole shoot'em up for two to four players on a single computer. You are a mole armed with a wide range of different weapons; from shovel all the way to the rocket launcher and nuclear grenade. Your only purpose is to kill the other moles or at least hurt them as much as possible before you die. The player with most kills wins!

MoleZ became almost legendary, at least in Finland. It started a whole new genre of "side view underground dig & shoot deathmatch" or real-time Worms-style games. Several clones (for example Liero) have been made from it since."
