I thought Blighttown was really fun.

Oh, I do think that it's fun. I meant "awful" as in it's awful for my poor character!

Blighttown is just awful. The ogres, mosquitos, poison dart dudes, poison WATER... then you get through to New Londo and you get attacked by ghosts that you can't even hurt back. I'm thinking of backing out to the Depths... I'll probably run out of moss clumps soon anyway.

I was thinking about it - just do one this week to announce the project. I'm afraid that (especially given our slow posting) the devlog updates will start to drown out the front page.

I'll update the sidebar whenever you put up a new one, though.

I tried making a smaller map to fit 480px wide, but it kinda lost its charm and readability in the process. What I can do though is a cute 480x250 preview pic with the issue number and title for the frontpage, which could link to the TIGS thread with the full pic, or to the Venus Patrol page. Is that okay with you guys?

The new issue is done, I just need to fix the imagemap a bit before posting it!

No, I meant 640px WIDE and ~480px TALL.

Imagine the [alpha] went on sale for $10. This is all “ifs”, right? But imagine it goes on sale for $10 or $20, and people chose to buy it, and it doesn’t work for them, and they say, “This is bollocks. I hate this. It’s crap. It’s broken. It doesn’t work.”

I don't understand the implications of this. Isn't it worse if someone buys the alpha for $30 and hates it? The assumption that people who are willing to pay more will like the game more seems misguided imo.

That said, I do want to play the game when it's finally released!

Dude, I'd love to put this on the front page! Thoughts:

- The max width of an image on TIGSource is 640px, so it would be shrunk as it currently is.

- The current visual map is too tall for a TIGS post as a single image. A lead-in image that's about 480px tall with the rest (including links) after the jump would be ideal.

- All you'd have to do with update this thread with the correct images and I can do the rest.

- Alternately, I can put your "issue" buttons on the sidebar with links to the thread.

- Or both! I'll start by putting the buttons on the sidebar right away.

I'm starting Legend of Grimrock finally, and I'm having a lot of fun with it. Much more than I remember having with Stonekeep and Lands of Lore, the two other first-person dungeon crawls I've played.
