Thanks! And Lisa says thanks for the kind words about her artwork. Any game making encouragement is mega-appreciated.

We didn't speak at the event, but you making a game in VMU assembly was one of the stories I told everyone when I got back home. It was astonishing.

Thanks for the feedback, it's much appreciated. It's great as first-time game makers to have somewhere to go where people will play our game and give constructive feedback. Cheers!

I attended TIGJam UK 3 last weekend with my partner, illustrator Lisa Evans. We made our first game together there; me bashing against Game Maker, she doing the artwork and then fixing my mistakes in Game Maker.

Since the Jam, we've gone back and polished it up, and we'd love for some people to play it and tell us what they thought. It's simple, but looks great. Thanks!

Description:
Star Belly is falling! Use the arrow keys to control his descent, guiding him around branches by collecting and bouncing off bunnies and pandas stuck in the tree.

Thanks to the kind donation of two tickets from Matt Hammill, who couldn't make it, my girlfriend and I will be coming along. We're both really excited! (And I'm a bit scared).

Lisa and I will be making a game - having started to learn Game Maker in the past week - and I'm planning on writing something about the whole thing for the magazine.

For the sake of that feature, I may at some point take pictures and try to ask some of you questions. If you're not interested in being a part of either, please just let me know. I don't want to be a distraction!

Well, I was finally able to confirm that I'd be able to make it, and the tickets are all gone. Damn damn damn.

I'm in the market for two tickets, if anyone discovers that they can't make it between now and the event. Wink

Hey. I'm the Deputy Editor of PC Gamer. I'd be interested in attending this and reporting on it for the magazine.

Would anyone have any objections to me coming along, talking to folks, taking photos, and then potentially using those materials to put together a magazine article and/or website story?

I think it'd be a great way to cover the UK indie scene, but if you'd rather keep the event for game makers only, I'd understand. I wouldn't want to get in the way! Let me know if any of you have any objections, either here in the thread or privately at [email protected]. Thanks.
