I'm offically making this thread to counter the Levesque LEUPOLDLEAQUE of Legends thread.

FIGHT TO THE DEATH!Errrr-- discuss Heroes of N. here.

new Rampage ult + Bloodhunter ult =  Epileptic
So basically rampage drags someone behind him after bloodhunter hemmorages them, good way to kill a carry.

I fixed the tab controls by extending their classes
and exposing their BackColor property; also, looking at some help online.

Also screen-shotting my game panel is no longer creating blurry captures after enabling double buffering on it.

Try just scaling it down and painting over all the pixels manually.

I remember this one game...It was called...Uh...Something....Yeah! Y'know, that one game? THAT ONE GAME? Aw.

Can I get a free gift card for completing this? Borders please! Well, hello there!

I like turtles (not burning to death in oil) and 2D games.

Clean up = rewrite from scratch Huh? you better release the game as is, no disclosing of the code will protect your shame Wink
The game need to be good not the code.

On topic: i have stumble on this:

Yah because a game is totally awesome if it breaks every 3 seconds then crashes.
1067  Feedback / DevLogs / Re: 'Trey the Toucan' 2d XNA platformer on: June 24, 2010, 07:26:27 PM
Editor is slowly turning orange...Now if only I could make it emit an orange scent as I make levels. Fresh!

Oh and tab-controls are stupid, they don't expose a back/foreground color property. WTF? Like, seriously? Whatever.

Also the property grid control is going to be amazingly helpful.

What do you use to create and animate sprites?
Jasc paint shop pro 7 + Jasc animation shop

They both start-up instantly are are very stream-lined.

I have to draw a sprite in a frame in psp7 and copy and paste it into a frame in anim. shop, it's annoying, but works

Using photoshop would be completely out-of-the-question. It just loads too slow and is too damn clunky. Screw Adobe, they must have some of the worst programmers ever.

^ I think Sunshine was more original in that aspect. It had a different story, setting and gameplay mechanics. Galaxy too, but I think it's closer to SM64 than Sunshine. I don't care, I absolutely love every Mario platformer to date  Tongue

Yea, I dunno, I didn't like sunshine. Most times it isn't clear what you need to do and the gameplay can be frustrating. I don't like when mario gets a power-up like FLUDD the entire game, it's better if it's just temporary.
1071  Player / General / Re: Super Mario Galaxy 2 on: June 24, 2010, 06:41:05 PM
Ok, I finally *EXPLETIVE HERE* got it and got 70 stars and "beat it". I only consider a game done when you've gotten all the items a game offers within a reasonable limit -- like if something is insanely difficult to achieve, it's reasonable to just get the items that are humanly possible to get.

I wish they could make some original stories, what if wario did something to mario's world accidentally and mario had to go fix it?
Or if you had to explore a castle Wario owned and it played like a mario 64 sequel but with tons of twists?

I'm going to end up with 100% stars and want more unique levels, damn, if only nintendo's "online" "infrastructure" allowed paid DLC.
Hand Thumbs Up Left Wizard  Hand Money Right  I would buy more levels with new gameplay elements in a heartbeat.

And when I put online and infrastructure in quotes  Cave Story they are MASSIVE SARCASM quotes. They are BARELY online.

Does anyone find the stars where you must fireball a plantoid full of crates within a minute insanely FRUSTRATING? Geeze. Like, it's so hard to aim mario in the direction where you need to -- so you can hit far away creates, and if you walk from the center spot in the challenge to destroy crates it takes ends up taking too long. Gosh-damn, I don't want those stars -- just keep them. I'm going to do those stars last because they just piss me off.

I like the bird-flying levels, but the motion control is too damn sensitive and inexact. Where is wii-motion plus for these levels so I don't have to hold my wii-mote at the exact level the sensor bar is at? I have so much trouble getting the wii to recognize where I'm holding/pitching the wii-mote at that I have to hold the wii-mote in both of my hands like a toy airplane to steady it and make the tiniest movements :/
Why can't I use the nunchuku to control the bird? Must I be forced to use the motion control shenanigans?

Riding-a-ball levels ; read above paragraph.

I feel we're going off-topic, so...

I feel the graphics are pretty impressive, and the gameplay looks awesome with the things they're able to do in the levels.  Cheesy  Hand Shake Right

I just hope the game is fairly long and they have tons of challenging levels.

I'm going to be bummed if we don't see the animal helpers like squawks the parrot.
1073  Player / General / Re: Fight Thread Pollution! Post here if it's not worth a new thread!!! on: June 22, 2010, 10:29:32 PM
Well, it depends on how big the stack is.

If it includes Sonic 3d Blast you have to pay someone to take them away and you lose more money.

Better better is a matter of opinion.

I personally think viva and Banjo: n & b are Okay / some-what lackluster, respectively.

While It's fun to make vehicles in Banjo for sure, you must then pit them against the physics engine which is fighting you every second you play, from bad collisions and wonky reactions to terrible squirrel handling/controls.

You must fight the game constantly while many/all most all missions have a count-down timer, and if the physics say, oh I don't know - knock you off a mountain or something your screwed and have to restart. That is not fun. You'll end up restarting missions SEVERAL times just because a tiny rock sent you flying off course or something equally as frustrating and stupid. It's so unforgiving later-on -- if you mess up in the tiniest way, your boned!

Hand Joystick Everything either over-steers or under-steers, and while it is somewhat your fault sometimes, most of the time it is not. It creates frustrating gameplay when you rely on a physics system to handle your movement and controls. I had the most fun and waited deperately to unlock everything in Klungo's mini-game, what does this tell you?

I lament that it wasn't a 3d platformer that over-hauled the series and made it the Mario Galaxy of Banjo games. I was so terribly disappointed when I saw the real reveal of it before it came out, months after they posed a teaser trailer making it look like it'd be a normal Banjo game. I will even go so far as to say you could just put any characters into the game and it would be the same, it just doesn't feel like a Banjo game. Feels like they made a cool vehicle game in a different dev section of the studio and deperately needed marketing and a name tie-in for it.

and the same beautiful music...

Not having David Wise from Rare compose it, I wouldn't hold my breath. The music in the trailer is... pretty bad, actually. Sounds like a terrible MIDI remix of the original. Undecided

Shoulda' used better synthesizers :D Maybe I can lend them mine >_<

Actually, it just sounds like they're filtering the sound too much with hpfs/lpfs/EQs and stuff. Like, way too much. It would probably sound decent if they didn't do this stuff. Also, too much reverb or something. Almost sounds like awful mp3 compression.
Also sounds like the music is missing the birds/crickets sound fx in the background.

Also- why wouldn't they get David Wise to write new music?
1077  Player / General / Re: Enough motion, more brain! on: June 22, 2010, 07:14:16 PM
it still looks like it's only registering the duration of the waves and the intensity.
Until they can turn these into messages like 'left', 'right', 'down'/etc...

They've already had toys like this for quite awhile where you run a magnetic ball or hollow ball over fans through an obstacle course using a device you put on your head.

So what sucks, the technology or the software? Because you blame both and pardon both.

The technology sucks because developers fail to make good software with it. There is no such thing as technology, there is only technology used by people. If that use suck the technology suck.

There sure is alot of sucking around here.

Speaking of which:

Actually, on the Rare transition, if I remember correctly Free Radical is mainly ex-Rare employees. Post-Perfect Dark. They made many a great game. And then a bad one and then they went broke and died. And then I was sad.

That is my story.

Cool story, bro. No, really.
