There was a bug with the content manager trying to enchant items with an XP rune.
This xp rune bug. Can enemy portals spawn enemies with items?

I went in a item portal and found a second item; this item also had two random enchantments. Could be fluke, but might be the item code applying the effects to both items.

And yes, loading and enchantments were just me not knowing. (Aside form the enchantment overflow.)

I think Disgaea had a similar concept of items having dungeons inside them.

Now off to break the game!

EDIT:

Game "froze" with menu still available, as per usual when it breaks. Screenshot function still works so that's good. Eating a polymorph potion didn't solve it like it did that one time. The red on the minimap is a monster portal. My guess is the spawning did it, did you check that the not enchanting items with xp runes bug is still fixed with a: monster portals and b: portal runes.

Loading put me at the overworld with all my items, except my armour got cursed. What causes armour to be cursed? It might be unrelated to the bug.

Thrown runes get stuck in place against the healthstone and grindstone.

Entering the item portal I had from before the freeze and load froze the game. Loading after this gave be a black screen and empty minimap. Actions and portal rune use disabled. More loads don't help.

Either I have some crazy luck, or the portal enchantment is always light 2.

I made an item with level 20 light and the portal seems to have eaten it as it's nowhere to be found.

Loading after dying in an item portal dungeon froze the game and the menu. (Sounds still going.) Probably going to stop for now. The menu magically unfroze, but the game is stuck in black screen land.


Used a portal rune on a fedora with level 20 light. Item didn't get eaten this time. I now have a fedora with level 20 light and level 2 light. They don't stack.

With us being super picky we still can't finish the characters we've chosen. Picking more characters will only add to the problem. If we were done every character we put in the game and needed more then I could see your point, but right now more characters is not what we need.

This sniper item could also be a "mobile turret" vehicle.

The best time I've had this game is still that time I saw Hempuli log on with two accounts then disappear, then I correctly guessed the private server he made first try. Skills.

Aren't bugs that appear at random and make no sense the most fun to fix?

Also, I didn't even realize you could throw daggers yet.

EDIT: Or you can't? What?

EDIT2: Nevermind I found it. I would expect it to be under the weapon, but I guess it's there like the bow is now. I never go in the actions menu due to the hotkeys so I didn't notice it.


EDIT3: Even though I can bind two hot keys to the same key, the second one wont
execute. I want to put throw and equip dagger on the same key, so if I have a few daggers in my inventory, I can have a limited ammo bow of sorts.

I leveled up while climbing a ladder and my quickening speed combined with my ladder speed.


I just had the greatest idea. I made a bunch of enchanted daggers with random effects, and so now every time I throw a dagger, I don't know what will happen! It's exciting!

I think that naming items would be neat. You could differentiate the weapons you use from other enchanted weapons, and you could use weapon equipping hotkeys that wont give you the wrong weapon of that type. Also my dagger equipping hotkey got set to my armour at one point.

Oh, and weapon equipping (and throwing) hotkeys don't work while moving.


Found a bug! If you throw something while on a ladder, it disappears into the ladder dimension never to be seen again. Wait I found it. It was just invisible while flying.


Also ranged weapons apply damage refection, not sure if that's intended.

I am unable top pull bricks from walls normally. To do it I have to press escape to bring up the menu, move the mouse outside the game, press escape again, click outside the game to lose focus, then when I click back on the game it pulls out the block I'm looking at.

What if we had a "scope" item that gave you the ability to aim in with the shoot button and un-aim with use (like my sniper suggestion) but lowered your fire rate while using it?

I do agree that that frame should still be longer than the others. I think the one with his foot in the corner of the block could be a bit shorter too, but that one I'm not as sure about. I also think the first two frames might be a bit fast.

Right now it still does looks great though.

Oh, I actually knew that throwing runes didn't work point blank, but forgot to mention it. My bad.

Also, the fact that you could die at any moment is a staple of rouge-likes. I'm not saying stomping should be as common as it used to be, but the fact that it can happen is not a bad thing.
