How is it pointless, pray tell?

If a game is awesome, people buy it.

I run my own mail server and my mail client doesn't have draconian restrictions programmed into it.  Just sayin' Tongue

Hi everyone... I was wondering if any of you had any experience with mailing list services, and if so, could you recommend a good free (or reasonably priced) service?  There seem to be so many out there and I want to make sure I don't choose some spammy/sketchy one that would abuse the folks who have given me their email addresses.  Thank-you!

Also... I'm using Bandcamp to distribute music and I'm pretty sure they don't have a built in mailing list service (they just collect email addresses for you), but if I'm wrong please let me know.

Depends what you mean by mailing list, some people think of listserv/mailman, which is for group communication, such that everyone on the list can post and you get some sort of archival/indexing service.

If you just want to contact a group of people and you know the email addresses but don't want to disclose them to the recipients, put them all in the bcc field of your mail client, compose a message and hit send.

Apparently there is some program called MCAdmin for helping you run a minecraft server, except the author put in a backdoor that allows him to ban people from any server which uses his program.  He says it's his right to be able to do this because he's hated in real life and no one gives him any money to use the program.

first person shoot genre is so old and tired.  if you've played one, you've played them all.  why don't they do something new?
