I retro-live more or less , but when our whole generation dies, nobody is going to play super mario bros again, except in a weird underground vintage museum on pot.

Projects like MAME, DOSBox and VMware (and other emulators/virtual machines) seem to sort it out. With newer higher-power computers, you can simulate old hardware Nowadays you can make use of cross-platform libraries (primarily thanks to Stallman and the GNU movement) that will eventually evolve to newer platforms, and you should be able to port it easily. With good programming techniques and abstraction you can also port it, even if the library you use is deprecated (see Doom on iPhone, it was almost unchanged). The thing is, will Left 4 Dead (or whatever) be enjoyable in 50 years? I don't see a lot of people playing Leisure suite Larry 1 (even with the ease of DOSBox) :3

It would be nice to have a mini rushed 2-day compo for valentine: The "Meaning of valentine for you through gameplay" compo. Focused on gameplay, even if you end up using coloured rectangles as "lovers".

Working on a blogAlso changed the look of my site slightly. Now hopefully the blog and main site match. (yeah I use google sites. I'm lazy and cheap!) Those look really really cool Eventually you could add a streaming widget to the music section to preview some/all of your tracks! It feels a little empty right now for a whole section. I'm also working on my site, it was a really bad idea to try to tough it up and code it myself from scratch in php.

One guy last week did 260k points...eek! Must be the only one that reached lvl4
I totally agree on that level 1 lameness, but it was to sort of get a grasp on the mechanics, I never thought that a player would play more than once :p. I should pass some enemies from level 2 to level 1 after 20-30 seconds or so. And include the "hard" plastic around that time too in level 2 instead of from the start.
Regards!

1/scrollFactor.x and 1/scrollFactor.y times the size of the "normal" (scroll factors = 1.0) layers, for width and height respectively.

BTW: I have an iPod Touch 3G. Regards -Martín
