Ok, here it is, Alpha 6CHANGELOG -- Maps are always compatible with newer application versions -- SUGGESTION FOR PROTOTYPING: For prototyping, use one layer AND one tileset for non-collidable tiles and another pair for collidable tiles. This way you won't have to replace a lot of tiles when adding more non-collidable tiles. The non-collidables first collidable index could be set really high to forget about it. ALPHA 6 + New tab: Custom stuff. + Allows you to add some custom string-string name-value pairs to the map. + And a custom function that takes a "*" parameter and returns a "*" value, to call whenever you want. + Tools menu with the option to easily associate .flan files with the application.* Abilityto add non-square 1-frame sprites.* Started to port it to be plugin-friendly (for import, export AND on-the-fly modification filters)

Latest news: Apparently Flan runs in Linux and Mac with Wine standard install.
Ok, things I've been asked for Alpha 6
* Custom name-value pairs in a map object. * Single image (non square) sprites * Import/Export Plugin
First two have high priority. I'll try to get them out soon.

I got the SNES hooked up to the PC for less than 4 bucks and I don't need anything else I don't use games that need analog input so I'm set with that. If I had to choose, I'll choose the PlayStation controller, but that's because I'm used to the D-pads being at the same level as the action buttons. And also, I think L and R buttons on the top are mandatory: e.g. in Spelunky I run with R, leaving me the 4 action buttons for jump, whip, bomb, rope. Also it's very confortable to run with your index finger and manouver with your thumbs. If you're getting a mainstream controller clone be sure it has at least 1 pair of L/R buttons. Anyway, I probably must shut up as I haven't bought a controller since... 1996? Well, that's my 2 cents.

The game is nothing to write home about but the music alone makes it worth it. Note: the game window is just a little bit too tall for my screen (1024X768, firefox3 with navigation bar + tabs bar) Well done You can go fullscreen pressing F11, and all the browser crap goes away

Congratulations then! I was asking because I have a shmup' in the oven and wanted to know more or less the price they're paying for them. If you're not busy, can you post the details of how you found the sponsor (or the "in soviet russia" version)? I've seen you video post on TIGS main page a while ago and thought that was cool and ingenious to build hype so the sponsors see that people crave for your game Best regards

Oh, sorry! Now that you said so I remembered the use of that phrase. I'm not from an english speaking country, and sometimes I miss or get confused by the idioms

Flixel power! flixel power!
Nice game after a while, at the beginning the controls are too damn hard to master :D
Hey, how much did the sponsor pay you? You don't have to answer if you feel unconfortable with my question.
Good luck -Martín

Hey, thanks a lot! I don't understand what " " means, I hope it's cool New mini-updatev0.90 * Workaround for popup-blocking * 2-page life forms bio (it was too compact) + Credits screen + Direct-to-paypal-clickable Donation screen

I got fragged by the teleporter. The side was clear but I think I pressed action twice too fast. Is this intended as a "don't overuse" thing? I mean, I wouldn't be surprised... there are booby traps you know.

New updatev0.89 (I should update the achievements, currently some are near impossible) + New life forms: 1 plant, 2 creatures (hard) + Friendly mode option (No killing between critters, plants don't wither with critters) + Option to just turn off spawn sounds instead of all * Seedy creature now always jumps 1 tile gaps (or it should) * Fixed bug: Spawn locations were never removed (leading to bad spawn points and bad spawn timing)

Again, anyone having troubles with music?
Music gets all choppy and I see that a supersound.dll's thread is eating up 50% of the CPU (single core) and fighting with the game thread.
This happens regardless if the gamepad is on or off, 1x or 3x, fullscreen or windowed.

First time I try it, really nice game.
I have a problem with music, it get's laggy and apparently has buffer underruns sometimes (loops parts). I rebooted WinXP to see if it was, well, it's rancidness... but it's the same deal.
Did this happened to someone before? I tried searching on this thread but found nothing. It's a fine awesome tune, and I wish to get around this problem and play how it's supposed to!
Thanks!
